Upon arrival at Sydney Airport you will be met and privately transferred to the Park Hyatt Sydney. Seated majestically on one of the world’s most beautiful harbours, Park Hyatt Sydney perfectly personifies contemporary harbourside luxury with its coveted location between the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The hotel's spacious rooms feature contemporary interiors, modern bathrooms with dual vanity, wet area, rainshower, deep bathtub and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to private balconies.

Included during your stay is a Sydney half day private tour. This is the perfect way to get your bearings, spending time with an experienced passionate guide to introduce you to one of the most beautiful cities in the world. This half day tour is just long enough to give you an overall understanding of the history, layout and major icons of Sydney - and leave you wanting to discover more! We’ll introduce you to Sydney’s colourful colonial and aboriginal history, show you the historic Rocks area, the stunning Harbour quarter around Circular Quay, the Botanic Gardens and the Opera House, and take you to our favourite spots to get those iconic photos of Sydney. This is a great tour for those who have just landed in Sydney on the early morning long-haul flights - a chance to discover Sydney and get busy, while getting over the jetlag!

This morning you are in for a real treat as you make your own way to the Sydney Opera for a one hour privately guided tour. Discover a House of passion, drama and betrayal. More than 60 years ago, Jorn Utzon designed what is now considered one of the greatest buildings of all time. Using state-of-the-art audiovisual technology, your guide will take you on an emotional journey inside this modern masterpiece.  

After lunch at your own leisure, make your way to the BridgeClimb, the ultimate experience of Sydney; reach the summit of the world famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, 134 metres above Sydney Harbour. It takes you along catwalks, up ladders, and steadily to the summit of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Experience the satisfaction of conquering the upper arch of the Bridge while taking in city surrounds, the World Heritage listed Sydney Opera House, the harbour and the Bridge itself beneath your feet.

This morning you will be met at the Park Hyatt Sydney and privately transferred to the Sydney Airport. Board your flight from Sydney to Ayers Rock, where you will be met upon arrival and transferred to Longitude 131°.

The award-winning luxury wilderness camp in Australia’s red centre is a deluxe camping experience that embraces the solitude and serenity of the sand dunes. Stay in one of only fifteen elevated tents and awake to your own private view of the sun rising over Uluru. Renowned as the spiritual heart of Australia, the Red Centre in the Northern Territory is rich in Aboriginal culture and rugged outback beauty. Dual World Heritage-listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is a living cultural landscape, covering an area over 311,000 acres. Australia’s most recognisable natural icon and one of the world’s largest monoliths Uluru (Ayers Rock) is the region’s gem and the iconic, sacred red domes of Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) stand nearby.


At Longitude 131° guests take the road less travelled, sharing exclusive and authentic adventures with a select few. An exceptional touring program designed especially for guests is included in the wilderness experience and a personalised itinerary is presented upon arrival. Signature Experiences with lodge naturalist guides are shared with fellow guests in custom touring vehicles. Expeditions operate at scheduled times on a rotating basis, dependant on day of arrival, with timing subject to sunrise and sunset times which vary throughout the year, according to the seasons and weather permitting. A menu of Bespoke Experiences offers further exploration and the chance to tailor a special interest itinerary at an additional cost.

Day 5
Crystalbrook Lodge, Australia

After breakfast transfer to the Ayers Rock Airport for the scheduled flight to Cairns. Upon arrival you will be met by your driver from Crystalbrook Lodge for a private road transfer to your accommodation – this is approximately a 3 hour drive, so sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery. Crystalbrook Lodge is in the remote outback bush 180km west of Cairns and is part of the 85,000 acre Crystalbrook Station. The days here are typically warm with crystal clear blue skies and the evenings are cool with spectacular outback sunsets fading into brilliant starry nights.

As guests of Crystalbrook Lodge you will have the opportunity to explore the surround and enjoy the many activities on offer. Lake activities including fishing and birdwatching on the fleet of electric boats (guided or you may take a boat out on your own); kayaking and lakeside trail walks. You will also be able to experience the outback way of life with afternoon tea at Crystalbrook Station and Homestead, with an opportunity to view some of the 2,000 prize Brangus cattle. A day visit to Chillagoe to see limestone caves, aboriginal rock art and visit an outback pub is always a must. There is also the opportunity for heli fishing and heli touring, 4WD touring and fishing guide to be arranged at an extra charge.

Crystalbrook caters for a maximum of 10 guests at a time in 5 courtyard suites, all with King-size beds, and a private courtyard with Day Bed. The suites all have spacious bathrooms opening onto the private courtyard, they are also equipped with luxury toiletries and dual shower heads.

The lodge features a ‘Magna’ high magnesium (great for muscle relaxation) wet edge pool overlooking the lake and superb dining facilities featuring the best of locally sourced produce and a boutique selection of wine and bar beverages.

Enjoy your final moments at the lodge, then bid your hosts goodbye and return via a private road transfer from Crystalbrook to the Pullman Cairns International. Overlooking the Cairns Harbour and the lush mountain hinterland, this hotel is spectacularly positioned to take advantage of all the city has to offer. The hotel is located in the heart of Cairns just a short stroll to Cairns’ best dining, shopping and café’s.

After breakfast your private driver will collect you at the hotel and transfer you to Cairns Airport. Upon arrival at Cairns Airport connect with the scheduled flight between Cairns and Lizard Island.

Situated some 240 kilometres north of Cairns, Lizard Island is spectacularly located on the Great Barrier Reef and is fringed with Coral reefs and picture-perfect white beaches. Lizard Island features 40 elegant rooms, with spacious open-plan designs and spectacular views.

The beaches are plentiful, 24 in all, with fine powdery white sand, undisturbed but for the occasional footprints. Naturally many of the options on Lizard Island involve the water. Snorkelling equipment and lessons are provided for trips off the beaches. You can snorkel off a secluded beach to discover a garden of giant clams, many a metre long and some reputed to be 120 years old. Or you can explore Anchor and Watson’s bay on a catamaran or glass bottom paddle ski. There is also the option of taking a self-guided island or nature walk or enjoying a picnic hampers for a romantic beachside lunch.


If you are a tad more adventurous, there are diving and snorkelling trips to the Inner and Outer reef, and fishing enthusiasts can charter the 15.5m “Fascination”, or dive the famous Cod Hole, where you’ll come face to face with the massive, yet curious Potato Cod – for an additional charge.

This tour is designed for - Solo travellers/couples/small groups and families with children 10 years and over. Lizard Island & Longitude 131° are not suited to children under this age. Should the itinerary be of interest and you are travelling with a young family please contact one of our Travel Designers as we can customise a journey to suit your exact travel needs.

This Itinerary can be taken all year round; however we recommend speaking with your Travel Designer as seasonal considerations may apply eg from December to March is the wet season in Tropical North Queensland, when you are likely to experience high humidity and rain, particularly in the months of February and March. Please note that Lizard Island is closed from 30th January 2017 to 12 February 2017 inclusive.

Blair Allsopp was a tremendous guide through Brisbane... went the extra mile in finding school husband's father spent 2 years in during WWIII Qualia resort on Hamilton Is was fab resort Only complaint-- had my departure wrong in their written agenda. Compared it to travel agent's booking and caught the discrepancy. Would have missed plane back to the states !
