Asia World Indonesia brings you an idyllic afternoon for tea lovers. In the rural outskirts of Ubud, enjoy a picnic experience in a beautifully set up tented house as the sun slowly sets on the horizon behind the valley whilst being entertained by anthropologist, author, explorer and filmmaker Dr Lawrence Blair.
The experience starts with pick up at your hotel in South Bali at 13.00 hrs. Depart with our guide to Semana village where the tented house is set up for the high tea picnic.
Along the way, you will pass through the handicrafts villages of Batubulan and Singapadu where stops can be made at the silver or gold workshops to see the artisans in action.
Arrive in Semana village and take a short scenic trek to the picnic spot on the Ayung river bank where you will be welcomed with a foot bath experience before enjoying a 60 minutes Balinese massage. Next, lay back and relax in the luxurious tent and enjoy your picnic experience with lavish choices of tea, fruit juices, mineral water, chilled white wine and canapés. Whilst the sun slowly sets Lawrence Blair will enthrall you with tales of his adventures throughout Indonesia. Also appreciate the beauty of a traditional dance performance by local kids from a nearby village. Transfer back to your hotel afterwards.
