Remote Lands, Inc

Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam To Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam

Valid for Departures Now Through: 31 Mar 2020

Day 1
Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam
The Empire Hotel & Country Club Dinner

You begin your luxury Brunei itinerary in Bandar Seri Begawan, the nation’s vibrant capital. Our recommended hotel is the Empire Hotel and Country Club, offering five-star accommodation in a palatial setting, with golf, tennis, badminton and bowling, plus an onsite spa. Settle into your hotel, cool off in the freeform pool or enjoy a splash in the sparkling South China Sea.

Day 2
Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam
The Empire Hotel & Country Club Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today you’ll set off on a cruise along the Brunei River, drifting through pristine mangroves and spotting the endangered proboscis monkey. Herons, kingfishers, egrets and countless more bird species inhabit the surrounding jungle, giving you a taste of Borneo’s ecological wealth. Next, you’ll visit Sungai Liang Forest Reserve and hike through verdant forest, learning about local flora and fauna from your guide. Return to your luxury Brunei resort in the evening.

Day 3
Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam
The Empire Hotel & Country Club Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Head to Luagan Lalak Recreational Park today for a spot of birdwatching. The forests and marshland of the park are abundantly inhabited by birdlife, including the white-bellied sea eagle. After enjoying the serenity of this protected area, you’ll make your way to Kampong Ayer water village, a sprawling overwater city connected by wooden walkways. Wander the boardwalks that connect the city, or jump in a water taxi to explore this fascinating village with its stilt houses, mosques, schools and shops. Spend the night at Empire Hotel and Country Club.

Day 4
Temburong, Brunei Darussalam
Staying in Temburong Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today you’ll enjoy a full-day excursion of Ulu Temburong National Park, enjoying a leisurely boat transfer to this vast green area. Walk above the tree canopy on raised wooden pathways and suspension bridges - some at dizzying heights - and spot local wildlife amid the foliage: white raja butterflies and rhinoceros hornbills are among the residents here. Return to Bandar Seri Begawan for the night and relax in your luxury room at the Empire Hotel and Country Club.

Day 5
Temburong, Brunei Darussalam
Staying in Temburong Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Immerse yourself in nature once more at Bukit Patoi Park in Temburong. Bukit Patoi is a forested mist-clad mountain with several hiking trails that lead to the summit, where you can enjoy spectacular views of the lowlands. Along the way, you might discover hidden caves or strange rock formations, or spot one of Borneo’s native deer. In the evening, head back to your hotel in Bandar Seri Begawan for your final night in Brunei.

Day 6
Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam
None Breakfast

After a delicious gourmet breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be chauffeur-driven to Brunei International Airport for your departure flight.

The Remote Lands Guides were excellent. The cars used for transportation were roomy and clean. The hotels were 5 star and their attention to detail was over the top. There was only perfection from the people we met and it was also comforting to know that our trip was being carefully monitored by Remote Lands supervisors every step of the way. We would recommend Remote Lands to anyone needing exceptional service in Asia.

We had 4 different guides (one in each city) and they were all wonderful. We appreciated that they let us be flexible and make game time decisions. We skipped a lot of the "touristy" sites and felt we had a more authentic experience.

Excellent. Guides at each location were friendly, personable and knowledgeable. Want to share a special thank you to Nadia Thakul (Bangkok) & Mr. Buntheun (Siem Reap). After missing my connecting flight from Shanghai to Siem Reap, I called Mr. Buntheun to let him know I was not able tomake it to Siem Reap as planned and for him to notify the hotel. I was flying instead to Phnom Phen and would notify him later of my flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival in Phnom Phen as I was filling out my visa on arrival form, a Remote Land guide greeted me and told me that Mr. Buntheun had notified the Bangkok office of my predicament and sent him to greet me. As you can imagine being in a foreign land in an unplanned location he was a sight for sore eyes. He got me in contact with Nadia who then took care of the rest of the accommodations (hotel, transportation to/from airport and flight from Phnom Phen to Siem Reap the next day). Assistance provided by Remote Lands got us to Siem Reap on time.
