Itinerary

DAY LOCATION(S) HOTEL MEALS DESCRIPTION
Day 1
Hong Kong, China
Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong Dinner

Arrive in the exciting business capital of Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and check in to your luxury hotel. We recommend either the Mandarin Oriental, or Upper House, both excellent choices for a comfortable stay. Once settled in, embark on a half-day historical walking tour of the city, before climbing Victoria Peak on the steep tram ride that affords stunning views of Hong Kong’s famed cityscape. Next, take a ride on the longest outdoor covered escalator system in the world, the Mid-Levels escalator. Finish your day off with some retail therapy on a bespoke shopping tour, before retiring to your hotel.

Day 2
Hong Kong, China
Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After a gourmet breakfast, explore more of Hong Kong today. Start with a tour of the city’s art galleries, which are plentiful and feature a vast array of art styles, both local and international. Then, head to the wet markets, traditional fresh food markets frequented by the locals. This should supply you with motivation for what’s up next: an authentic Chinese cooking class! Finish off your introduction to Chinese culture with a lesson from a feng shui master.

Day 3
KOWLOON, China
The Peninsula Hong Kong Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Head to Kowloon today, where you’ll check in to the luxurious Peninsula Hotel. Get acquainted with this part of the city with a visit to Kowloon’s bird, flower, and goldfish markets. Next up, stop at Chi Lin Nunnery, a large Buddhist complex and observe its unique architecture, the only of its kind in the city. Finally, pay a visit to Wong Tai Sin temple, one of the city’s most famous shrines.

Day 4
Macau, China
Mandarin Oriental Macao Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Take a short trip to neighboring Macao today, and transfer to your luxury room at the Mandarin Oriental Macao. Pay a visit to Kum Yam Buddhist Temple, dedicated to the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy.  Observe the iconic Macao Tower at sunset, and after dusk, it’s time to try your luck at the city’s famous casinos, and see how Macao got the nickname of “Monte Carlo of the Orient”.

The Remote Lands Guides were excellent. The cars used for transportation were roomy and clean. The hotels were 5 star and their attention to detail was over the top. There was only perfection from the people we met and it was also comforting to know that our trip was being carefully monitored by Remote Lands supervisors every step of the way. We would recommend Remote Lands to anyone needing exceptional service in Asia.
