Arrival at Copenhagen airport. Meet your guide and start a private tour by car/minivan up to the Royal Castles of North Zealand through the beautiful forests and along the coast. Visit Frederiksborg Castle, have a stop at Kronborg Castle, which set the stage for Hamlet and have a typical Danish lunch at restaurant Sletten.
The tour will end at Kokkedal Slot, a real oasis in the nature, few steps from the sea. Depending on the arrival time, you’ll be able to join the afternoon tea, with a wide choice of cakes and fine teas/coffees or an aperitif in the terrace facing the forest. Dinner will be served at the Cellar restaurant and we can guarantee it will be an unforgettable experience. You can indulge in the park or drink a cognac in the bar. The service is open 24 hours a day. Overnight at rooms either in the castle or in the lodge.
Info about Kokkedal Castle:
Kokkedal Castle was built in 1746 by the Danish Queen Sophie Magdalene. It is beautifully situated just thirty minutes drive north of Copenhagen in almost ten acres of parkland, close to the Sea and with the Kokkedal Stables and Kokkedal Golf Course as the immediate neighbours.
From the castle’s eastern windows you have magnificent views of the Sea, the island of Hven and even Sweden on clear days. The castle offers 62 rooms and suites, The Cellar Restaurant, The Library Bar, The Garden Room, The Banquet Room as well as six meeting rooms with a capacity of up to 100 people.
Also, a spa will be developed with indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam and four treatment rooms. The service concept is based on a royal household setup with butlers, footmen and maids rather than receptionist and concierges. This is an ideal place for relaxing, playing Golf, having meetings, going for walk, get spoiled in a spa or even doing team building activities like preparing your own aquavit!
An amazing environment for an amazing experience, all seasons.
