Day 1
Lima, Peru

Arrival in Lima after an overnight flight from the US. Greeting by your personal host and check-in assistance at the Wyndham Costa del Sol Hotel, conveniently located across the street from the airport.

Day 2
Sacred Valley, Peru
Sol y Luna Breakfast, Lunch

Morning flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, greeting by your personal host and private transfer to the Sacred Valley where you will stay in the tranquil Sol y Luna lodge. On the way to your lodge, stop to have lunch in the private salon of an exclusive hacienda with spectacular views of the area. After lunch, enjoy horseback riding on Peruvian Paso horses with your personal guide through this spectacular region. Alternatively, enjoy a private meditation ceremony performed by a Paco (Andean Shaman) before sunset especially for your party. Later, relax in the comfort of your lodge in the evening.

Day 3
Sacred Valley, Peru
Sol y Luna Breakfast, Lunch

With your expert guide go on a special mountain biking excursion through the rolling hills of the Sacred Valley. Highlights include visiting the concentric ruins at Moray and the salt pools at Maras. There will also be a private back-up vehicle should anyone in your party tire. Along the way, you will stop for a delicious gourmet picnic lunch in the shadows of the Andes arranged for your party - complete with fine glass-ware and linen. Afterwards, you will be taken to an exclusive house for a private pisco sour tasting.

Day 4
Machu Picchu, Peru
Belmond Sanctuary Lodge Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Experience an awe-inspiring train ride along the towering Andes and the Quechua-speaking villages of the Sacred Valley as you travel to Machu Picchu. You will either leave the train at kilometer 104 and hike the last portion of the Inca Trail with your personal guide (passing through the Gate of the Sun) or take the luxurious Hiram Bingham train all the way to Machu Picchu. Discover the spectacular ruins and check-in to the luxurious Inkaterra Machu Picchu Hotel, nestled between steep mountain walls of lush Andean greenery in the valley below the site of Machu Picchu. Private guided tour of the Machu Picchu ruins in the afternoon and gourmet meals at your hotel in the evening.

Day 5
Machu Picchu, Peru
Belmond Sanctuary Lodge Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Rise early to catch the sunrise over the ruins and enjoy further hiking to the Machu Picchu Mountain or to the Gate of the Sun. After lunch, enjoy a private shaman meditation ceremony in the gardens of Sanctuary Lodge.

Day 6
Cusco, Peru
Belmond Palacio Nazarenas Breakfast, Snack

Train transfer to Ollantaytambo where you will take a private transfer to Chinchero to experience a personal weaving demonstration by a group of local women. Continue on by private transfer to Cusco. Take time in the evening to relax and acclimatize, and a local academic will give a private informative talk about the history of the Incas, especially for your party.

Day 7
Cusco, Peru
Belmond Palacio Nazarenas Breakfast

Visit a local market where you will get a sense of the rhythm of daily Cusquenian life and be able to buy traditional handicrafts. Later, with your personal guide, tour the main sightseeing highlights of the historic city of Cusco, including the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, and the Incan “Sun Temple” of Qoricancha, with accents on the historical and cultural highlights of the city. Afterwards, Blue Parallel will arrange for exclusive access to the Hotel Monasterio's chapel where you will be given a private music demonstration by a local musician who will explain the different instruments indigenous to Peru. At night, dine on eclectic Peruvian and international delicacies in one of Cusco’s best restaurants in the evening

Day 8
Iquitos, Peru
Delfin I Private Charter Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Private transfer to the Cusco airport for your flight to Iquitos via Lima. Upon arrival to Iquitos, greeting and transfer to your privately chartered Delfin I cruise. This newly refurbished classic river vessel features 4 spacious deluxe suites, all of them with private terraces and two of them with private whirlpool baths, intimacy and personal attention is the key success to our service. This vessel features artwork by the women of Puerto Miguel Community. Upon arrival, check-in to your suites on the Delfin I cruise. Just before dusk, as the Delfin I begin its journey into the rainforest, your barman and staff will provide you with Peru’s finest and most famous cocktail, the pisco sour, made of Pisco, a Peruvian grape brandy. Fine regional cigars will also be available for those interested. In the evening, delicious welcome dinner on the cruise as you sail down the Maranon River, followed by a nightcap, safety drill and briefing under the stars on the upper-deck.

Day 9
Iquitos, Peru
Delfin I Private Charter Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Early morning bird watching experience in one of the most important zones of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Wildlife is abundant at this time. Later, breakfast on board followed by a hike through the pristine and unique flooded ecosystem of San Isidro. You will pass through a classic tropical rainforest with emergent trees and canopy trees reaching up to 55 meters in height. Many trees have buttress roots which often extend high up the trunks. Palms are abundant and many of them have stilt roots as well. Biologically, this kind of forest is probably one of the richest habitats on earth, supporting the most species of plants and animals per unit area. The target this morning is the giant ceiba or kapok tree with its large diameter. You will encounter local medicinal plants and identify them while hiking with your expert guide. This forest is also very good for spotting birds such as the bluish-fronted jacamar seen in pairs in middle and lower parts of forest edges, or collared trogons, and red capped cardinals. Later, lunch will be served on board as the Delfin I continues cruising upstream. In the afternoon, enjoy a Yanayacu skiff excursion with your expert guides to the protected area within the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. This protected area is highly populated with the most interesting wildlife with an outstanding biodiversity. On board of your aluminum skiff you will have the chance to get deep into the rainforest and its fantastic diversity of flora and fauna. You will enjoy seeing the myriad bird species, colorful butterflies and other diverse insects, noisy monkey troops and active pink and grey river dolphins in black river waters. Dinner will be served on board followed by stargazing on the upper deck while enjoying the sweet breeze of the Amazonian night and the wonderful symphony of the jungle.

Day 10
Iquitos, Peru
Delfin I Private Charter Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

With your naturalist guide, visit the Private Reserve for a canopy walk. This is a unique opportunity; you will get to the only Canopy Walkway in this area—an amazing experience in the rainforest! At a height of over 25 meters and extending for 500 meters, the Canopy Walkway provides a view of the rainforest from the treetops, the best vantage point for observing Amazon wildlife and vegetation. The Canopy Walkway is accessible to all and requires no special skills or equipment. The suspended walkway is spread between 14 of the area's largest rainforest trees and is one of the longest canopy walkways in the world. Canoe back through the Tawampa Lake where you will possibly be able to observe giant Arapaima, the largest fresh water fish in the world! Return to the Delfin I to continue cruising upstream towards the formation of the Amazon River. After lunch, Nauta Caño skiff exploration with your expert guides, followed by a fishing experience. At this time you will have the chance to explore Nauta Caño’s small creeks, lagoons, its wonderful dynamic and stunning panoramas. Cruising is the best way to experience the diversity of the wildlife that populates the rivers and their neighboring habitats. You will sail quietly near shore, exploring marshes, streams and oxbows. Later, on board your excursion skiffs, you will head to a beautiful lake for a spectacular spot, where you can expect to catch some fish; the target again, will be “piranhas”. There are 25 different species of piranha in the Amazon basin, including: black, white, red bellied. Watch out! They are smart and tricky to catch! In the evening, embark on an exciting night safari with your expert guides. Armed with powerful spot lights, you will start your night safari in search of night herons, pauraques, spectacled owls, up to a dozen species of croaking from the river’s edge, and fish bats flying over the water scooping up fish. Spectacled and black caimans are found in these pristine waters, and your guides will point them out to you. Stargazing at this time is unique while fireflies light up the jungle around you.

Day 11
Lima, Peru
None Breakfast, Lunch

With your private guide, explore the Amazon Headwaters. This is an important and historic place, where the Ucayali & Marañon Rivers merge and give birth to the mighty Amazon River. You will be in the formation of the Amazon River; the two powerful tributaries of the Amazon, the Ucayali and the Marañon River. In this spot, search for the most elusive and exotic fresh water pink river dolphin. Later, visit San Francisco Village, a local community where you will stroll around getting to know their simple lifestyle in this environment. After lunch, disembark the Delfin I and transfer to the airport. On the way, visit the Rescue & Rehabilitation Center of River Mammals where you will have the chance to meet baby manatees and learn about this pacific and wonderful creature and why they are in the endangered species list. Arrival at Lima from Iquitos. You will be greeted and assisted with check-in for your international flight.
