Evening international flight arrival to Quito. Upon disembarking your plane, you will be met by your VIP assistant at the gate and escorted through immigration and customs hassle-free, without waiting in line. As you exit the secured area with your luggage, you will then be greeted by your personal host who will take you to your car for your private transfer to your luxury boutique hotel.

Day 2

Private guided tour of the colonial treasures of Quito. Spread across a spectacular Andean valley and flanked by 14 volcanic peaks, Quito’s setting alone is enough to strike you speechless. The historical center is a maze of colonial splendor and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1978. Despite intensive restorations, the old town retains the vibrant working class and indigenous character that has always defined it. Walking its narrow streets will take you back to its original colonial setting. With your personal guide, you will visit its main historical highlights which include Monaterio de San Agustin (Quito’s oldest monastery), the elegant church of San Francisco, the Presidential Palace and the Archbishop’s Palace.

After your tour, enjoy a recommended lunch at Hacienda Rumiloma, located 25mins away from the city center and boasting incredible views. Later, private guided tour of the Guayasamin Museum and its “Chapel of Man”. Oswaldo Guayasamin was an Ecuadorian master painter and sculptor of Quechua and Mestizo heritage. He is still lauded as a national treasure. The Chapel of Man or La Capilla del hombre can be described as an architectural and artistic work dedicated to Latin American people over time. It began as a tribute, eventually becoming the current cultural complex which houses archaeological and artistic collections of Ecuador. This large complex began as Guayasamín’s home and atelier.

In the early evening, enjoy a guided tour of Quito’s architectural highlights, which are beautifully lit at night. A beautifully-designed lighting system brings out the best of Quito’s architecture and is an ideal opportunity to learn about the legends of Colonial Quito. Afterwards, you will enjoy exclusive access La Compañía de Jesús church followed by drinks on the roof.

Private transfer with your host to Theatrum restaurant, located within the Sucre National Theater and is one of Quito’s finest restaurants.

Day 3
Galápagos Islands, Ecuador

Greeting by your personal host in the lobby of the hotel and private transfer to Quito airport for your flight to the Galapagos Islands via Guayaquil. Flight arrival on the Galapagos Islands. As you exit the plane, you will be greeted by your cruise personnel after clearing customs. Group transfer to the Baltra dock (approx. 15min) where you will board a zodiac to your cruise

The Galapagos Islands offer some of the best wildlife viewing in the world, not only because the animals themselves are beautiful and interesting, but also because they are virtually fearless. Through a quirk of evolution, large predators failed to evolve here, with the result that all the islands' wild residents are endowed with a unique sense of security. This means that the famous blue-footed boobies, the sea lions and the penguins will almost welcome you as you explore the islands with your personal naturalist guide. There will be plenty of opportunities to go swimming, snorkeling and hiking throughout the trip.

After checking-in to your cabins and an introductory briefing & safety drill, enjoy lunch on board. Later, disembark on your first excursion to North Seymour Island. North Seymour is a perfect introduction to the Galapagos Islands. Fauna abounds and you will soon find yourself surrounded by frigates and blue footed boobies. Keep an eye out for land iguanas and sea lions.

Return to your vessel and enjoy a welcome cocktail followed by dinner. A briefing on the following day's program will be provided.

Day 4

Explore Vicente Roca Point on Isabela Island, a seahorse-shaped island that is one of the largest and youngest in the archipelago. Here you will visit Vicente Roca Point, comprised of two separate coves, this site is a large bay with spectacular sea life. Keep an eye out for seahorses, sea turtles, and the strange yet fascinating Mola-mola.

Return for lunch on board followed by an excursion to Espinosa Point on Fernandina island where hundreds of marine iguanas gather on the black lava rocks. No foreign species have ever invaded Fernandina Island and it is one of the most pristine island ecosystems in the world. Espinosa Point is home to the Flightless Cormorant and it is here you can witness their nesting site also get a glimpse of the elusive Galapagos Hawk.

Day 5

Visit Tagus Cove on Isabela Island where you can witness a “cliff-side gallery” of pirate graffiti dating back to 1836. Hike through the lava formations as you make your way to Darwin Lake. Since the 1880s Tagus Cove has been a preferred anchorage site for sailors and boasts many trails and volcanic views on the island itself. Darwin Lake is a salt-water crater-lake that was created by a tidal wave brought on by a volcanic eruption.

Return for lunch on board, followed by a visit to Urbina Bay at the base of Alcedo Volcano. Created by tectonic shift in 195, Urbina Bay boasts fascinating geological formations, included a coral reef that is home to many different kinds of sea life. Here you can witness Sea Turtles nesting and Darwin’s famous finches! Spend your afternoon snorkeling or hiking along the 2 trails located here.

Day 6

Excursion to Elizabeth Bay on the east coast of Isabela Island. Lacking any traditional landing sites, Elizabeth Bay is a true wonder full of marine life and beautiful red mangroves that you will explore by zodiac. You will also have the opportunity to see the Spotted Humpback Whale.

Return for lunch on board followed by a visit to Moreno Point, an area filled with craters left by flowing lava from past eruptions and is spotted with crystal tide pools that are home to many different types of marine life that of course attract many different type of endemic birds. Moreno Point is located just southwest of Elizabeth Bay on the west coast of Isabela Island. Observe and learn about different types of lava and pioneer plants while being surrounded by some of the most incredible scenery that Galapagos has to offer. In the tide pools green sea turtles or white-tip sharks can be spotted. Afterwards you will enjoy a panga ride along the striking rocky shores observing penguins, sea lions, blue footed boobies and marine iguanas

Day 7

In the morning, head to the Sierra Negra Volcano for a morning hike. The Sierra Negra Volcano boasts the largest basaltic caldera in Galapagos at 9 x 10 km. The site offers impressive views and the opportunity to observe up to 7 species of finch and a rich display of vegetation. The north side of the caldera provides evidence of its most recent volcanic activity. Later, explore the wetlands of Isabela, located just outside of Puerto Villamil. The Wetlands consist of lagoons, swamps, and mangroves and are home to a variety of unique bird species such as Common Stilts, Whimbrels, White-Cheeked Pintails, and Gallinules. The Wetlands can be visited on foot via a path that winds through the swamps.

In the afternoon, visit the Wall of Tears. From 1945-1959, when Isabela was used as a penal colony, prisoners constructed a towering wall of lava rocks for no other purpose than to keep them distracted from the madness of isolation. This now historical site (El Muro de las Lagrimas), towering at 65 feet high, took the lives of thousands during its construction.

Return to the ship and enjoy dinner on board.

Day 8
Guayaquil, Ecuador

Following breakfast, disembarkation from your vessel. On the way to the airport, you will visit the highlands of Santa Cruz to see giant tortoises in the wild and the famous Charles Darwin Research Center where you can learn about the local conservation efforts to increase the tortoise population. Flight arrival in Guayaquil. As you exit the secured area of baggage claim, you will be greeted by your personal host and assisted with check-in on your international flight departure.
