Elba Island Orientation Tour
You will meet your guide at tender mooring; she will wait for you handling the Onirikos arrival board. She will introduce you to your Professional driver who will escort you to Elba Island in order to experience a unique excursion.
The Elba Island, a green oasis within the Tuscan Archipelago, is an island of endless horizons: crystal clear water lapped by golden beaches, granite rocks standing out from the bush, stories of people blessed by the sun. Thousands of years of history, breathtaking panoramas, glimpses, famous people, stories of men and civilization can be found on the Island of Elba's mere 224 square metres. You might be walking along a country path when suddenly you come across a granite goats' shed dating back to prehistorical times, or turn round and notice how the infinite vastness of the sea has become but one with the blue sky. Going to see a village high up in the mountains is like going back in time, where simple house-museums hold past memories. You will discover the Napoleon's residences where you will relive the past imperial splendor and its celebrations. On the other hand, you might want to visit the iron mines where entire generations of men put heart and soul into their work, or a church destroyed by pirates, or a place of worship, or an impregnable fortress, or a tower that stands out proud in the middle of a breathtaking view. The Tuscan Archipelago National Park covers over 600 square kilometres of sea that go from Livorno to the Argentario promontory and it includes seven islands: Capraia, Elba, Giannutri, Giglio, Gorgona, Montecristo, Pianosa, as well as the Formiche of Grosseto and other small rocks. The biggest island is Elba and the smallest is Gorgona. During your tour, you will enjoy your lunch reservation in a typical Italian Restaurant.
After the visit your driver will escort you back to the Port.
