You will reach Murano with a luxury water limousine and crossing the lagoon you will definitely enjoy wonderful views, as Venice seen by the water, hard to believe, can be even more beautiful!
This tour will include a private visit of the most prestigious Murano glass factory. You will meet the glass Master and he will explain you the secrets and insights of this art. You’ll then enjoy a private shopping experience in the factory's show room that will be opened only for you.
Murano’s reputation as a center for glassmaking was born when the Venetian Republic, fearing fire and the destruction of the city’s mostly wooden buildings, ordered glassmakers to move their foundries to Murano in 1291 and still today Murano glass is associated with Venetian glass. The artisans of Murano still employ these centuries-old techniques, crafting everything from contemporary art glass and glass jewelry to Murano glass chandeliers and wine stoppers.
Murano is home to the Museo del Vetro or Murano Glass Museum in the Palazzo Giustinian, which holds displays on the history of glassmaking as well as glass samples ranging from Egyptian times through the present day.
After the visit your Captain will escort you back to the Port.
