Amangiri

Amangiri (which stands for “peaceful mountain”) is set in Utah’s stunning canyon country and incorporates the beauty of the Four Corners desert in its design. The central Pavilion, built around a dramatic swimming pool, houses the Living Room, Gallery, Library and Dining Room/Cellar. Amangiri’s 34 suites, entered via a private courtyard, offer private plunge pools and rooftop terraces, as well as modern, airy living, dining and sleeping areas with white-stone floors that echo the area’s natural stone. Be sure to experience the Aman Spa, with its water pavilion, Pilates studio, candlelit rooms and outdoor treatment terraces.

Beautiful natural surroundings. The architecture of the resort was very interesting. Service was good. Hiking guides excellent.
Liked the complimentary car the resort provided for a morning. Enjoyed the special opera. The dinner menu should change more often. For the price of accomodation, the prices on the wine list should be more reasonable.

An incredible hotel in one of the most spectacular desert locations in the world. Great for hiking on private land and relaxing at a mind-blowing pool and spa. Food and service range from 8 to 9. Setting and decor are a 10.

The ultimate in service. VEry minimal as are all AMAN resorts, but, somehow over the top. Staff is top rate.

This was our first trip to Amangiri (and actually our first Aman resort) and we are certain it won’t be our last! Amangiri is situated in a quiet desert canyon 4 hrs by car (very scenic drive) from the Las Vegas airport. It’s super close to the photographer’s paradise of slot canyons at Antelope Canyon and the famous Horseshoe Bend, but once we arrived at the resort, we never wanted to leave. There are miles of beautiful trails on the resort proper, including its own small slot canyon and Hoodoos. The spa services were exquisite and the Water Pavilion was often quite empty and quiet. Our meals were expertly prepared and though the menu was the same for our three nights there, we always felt the options were plentiful. The resort is meticulously planned and every view was literally picture perfect. Amangiri alone is enough to convert me into an “Amanjunkie!”
