We loved the location and the beautiful room we had with a balcony and a view of the canal. The only thing I missed was a gym, but I would still stay there again.

The breakfast was our favorite because of the location! It is a lovely hotel with an attentive staff in an easy location especially if you are traveling with an older adult who has issues with walking. The three bridges in front of the hotel have ramps in addition to stairs for easy access. The hotel also made some great recommendations for night time meals in easy walking distance.

The Danieli

The Danieli was wonderful, the high points were the elegance and location. Also the concierges are great especially Heittiore, a vast fund of knowledge. As in all Italian hotels, the rooms are smaller, but comfortable and elegant. The only disappointment was the restaurant. Great Breakfasts with an unparalleled view, but do dinner elsewhere. Apparently it is an open secret among restaurateurs in venice that the food at the Danieli is terrible, but there are so many alternatives, a lesson learned.

The hotel is simply iconic. Arriving via water taxi to their little door on the side canal just off of the grand Canal is magical. The hotel itself is beautiful, so old world Venice. That alone might possibly make it worth the very expensive price that we paid for night in their off-season. It is a lovely touch having the front desk agent show is tomorrow room, and looking out that window onto the grand Canal is stunning. Having a drink in their bar was wonderful. Breakfast on the rooftop with it’s amazing views was dreamy. The staff were all lovely, with the exception of one or two concierges. They need to do a better job there, for sure. We were sent to a terrible restaurant on our first night, which should never be on their list. They are not super interested in helping hotel gas it appears, a tip helped with one concierge, but the attitude is not friendly. However we did not let that Mauer our stay at the beautiful hotel.

Cool hotel. Lobby off the charts with the whole byzantine arches, the Venitian Glass chandlliers, etc. Great drop off and pick up point in the little canal right off St. marks sq. terrific location if you want to be very near the square, doges palace etc. Rooms were good - not great. not as spacious as advertised. hotel seemed expensive relative to the rooms we got but hard to compare...don't know what other hotels cost. Italy is expensive anyway. Don't go unless you are prepared to spend a lot of $.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Danieli. Located right alongside the Grand Canal, it is perfectly situated, right in the heart of the city, near many of the key attractions. Breakfast every morning on their outdoor terrace/veranda was amazing - such a beautiful view. The staff was attentive and extremely personable. We were given a double upgrade upon check-in and our room was spectacular - spacious, inviting and first rate. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, full of tradition and elegance - it exudes quality but also remarkable charm. We would highly recommend Hotel Danieli, it is an absolutely delight!

Danielle is nice but tired...needs a facelift. The rooms were big and spacious and the views amazing, but they lacked updating. The beds very comfortable and the breakfast buffet was the best! The staff was nice, especially in roof top restaurant.

This hotel is in the perfect location and is very lovely. The rooftop restaurant is absolutely the beat view in Venice to have drinks or breakfast. The small elevator is not an issue. We never had to wait. The only complaint is the room keys. Besides leaving them with the concierge upon leaving hotel every time, they are extremely difficult to open the door. It would take 2-3 minutes to open the door.

The rooms were very nice but when we arrived, we were not able to check in. The desk kept telling us it would be just a few minutes but it was about 4 hours. We were very hungry and tired and we ordered from the bar. The prices were outrageous. We did enjoy the terrace restaurant.

Overall the hotel was excellent. We did get caught with their change over from air conditioning to heating even thought the climate was quite hot. We managed to deal with that by keeping the windows open which suited us. The restaurant was excellent for dinner and breakfast. We did have an issue when we were leaving with the flooding of the city, and the hotel, but the concierge was extremely helpful in getting us and our luggage to a water taxi. It could have been so much worse. Kudos to my wife who knows you get better results when working with someone than yelling at them. The staff was very helpful if you were only patient and understanding.

A bad storm hit Venice while we were there and flooded our hotel. We had to wade through knee deep water to reach our Water Taxi. I don't know if this could have been avoided.
