Fantastic View and Service

I would highly recommend the Il Salviatino. From the moment you step on the grounds you are treated like royalty! The hotel rooms are extremely large and spacious. The food is wonderful and the service is second to none. We enjoyed a day at the spa which I would highly recommend. A big advantage is that it's set high above the city so it stays much cooler than the stifling heat of Florence and it's a quick drive by shuttle to the square.

We really loved this hotel. The service was top-notch and it really felt like you were far away in the Tuscan countryside even though we were only about 15 minutes from Florence. The pool, spa, and restaurant were all amazing and we can't say enough about the beautiful grounds and amazing service from everyone. Definitely will recommend this hotel to family and friends.

It was a pleasant surprise when we arrived at Il Salviatino in the outskirts of Florence. The property was very well maintained with stunning view of the country side and city lights. It’s a great escape from the busy city life. The food was delicious and the hotel staff were responsive in every little request. The massage at the hotel spa was also very relaxing. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys a slower pace during a busy trip.

Review of Il Salviatino

Disappointing. Although the grounds and public spaces are lovely, our room was a bit shabby and seemed decorated with flea market finds. The hotel was very over priced for what it delivered and dropped the ball on various promises: the pool was closed; the shuttle wasn't available for 3 hours in the middle of the day (always when we wanted to leave); the food was unimpressive, and one of the services we were promised was unavailable. Considering the fee--and relative to other hotels we stayed in during the same trip to Itlay, I definitely would not recommend this hotel.
