Exceptional property, amazing staff

my husband and I had the most relaxing stay at Canaves. The staff was so warm, welcoming and accommodating we didn't want to leave! At breakfast on our first day my husband asked if they had the Times. The F+B director said unfortunately they don't get the NYT but they had a driver on his way to town to pick one up and would have one for him each morning for the remainder of our stay, and they did. The property was outstanding and was very much conducive to a relaxing "babymoon" experience. the girls at the front desk, Conceilia and Konstantina were so gracious and patient helping to make reservations and accommodating a few asks that we had, as I am pregnant. The only criticism I had is around the room type/size. I understand each suite is unique, but for the price even the superior suites seemed a bit small. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be recommending Canaves to friends and fellow travelers!

We had a wonderful experience at Canaves. Our two bedroom suite was perfect for a family of four, and had the most spectacular views. The service at Canaves was outstanding, and the staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating.

Our stat at Canaves Oia Hotel was a "10" The resort and location are a dream...so so beautiful. The staff were so pleasant and helpful and made our stay even more wonderful. The restaurant was so good, breakfast was beyond delicious and lunch was as well. The pool chaise lounges are super comfortable and the view is beyond awesome! The resort itself is gorgeous and I took any beautiful photos without even leaving the resort. Our room was very cool... I truly felt we were staying in an all white cave. Lots of personal touches in our room but I will let those remain a surprise. We loved the resort and would be thrilled to go again and will be suggesting it to our friends!

All the rooms are different and we got a bad one. The pool set-up is very constrained. The service level was very good.

Wonderful Staff at Canaves Oia Epitome

We had simply a marvelous experience at Canaves Oil Epitome. The entire staff, especially, Maria, the Concierge, and Thanos, the restaurant manager, were simply magnificent. Thanos is a wonderful ambassador for the hotel and we were very happy to have met him. The restaurant at the hotel is simply wonderful, the best restaurant in Santorini without a doubt. We have one recommendation to improve the guest experience. Transportation on Santorini can be a bit chaotic due to the landscape and how busy it gets in the summer. We recommend a text message system for the concierge and the guests to get pick ups and drops off around the island as calling can be a bit complicated at times. But this is only a recommendation to make an excellent experience even better (which is very difficult to do).

Gorgeous hotel to enjoy the Santorini views and sunset.

By: Jason

Canaves Oia was an immaculate hotel that provided breathtaking views of Santorini's caldera and sunset. The staff was friendly and generally responsive. The cocktails and coffee drinks were great too! My wife and I booked the Honeymoon Suite, which was spacious, full of amenities and had a great plunge pool. Some quirks were that the breakfast service wasn't top notch and that the robes in our room sort of smelled. Also, the reception staff tended to steer us towards other Canaves properties for lunch and dinner, rather than recommend other establishments. Still, we absolutely loved our time there.

This hotel was the first stop on our honeymoon, and it didn't disappoint. John and the staff were great! Room was nice, location was great, and the views were second to none. They also had hands down, the best Greek Salad on the island!

Good food and great service

By: Jenjen

We ended up losing 2 of our nights here because of the fluky wind that kept planes and ferries from getting in and out. The hotel driver who picked us up said he had never seen traffic backed up as much. Out suite was lovely and we enjoyed the in room breakfast that was included. The wind was still there so we coudn’t use the patio much. We had dinner one of the nights at the hotel & it was wonderful—excellent food, presentation, and service —wine too. It was so windy, but they fixed a sheltered place outside where we had a drink and an appetizer and then went inside for the rest of the meal. There is a small but quite nice gift shop. So sorry we missed 2 of our nights there
