We had 4 different guides (one in each city) and they were all wonderful. We appreciated that they let us be flexible and make game time decisions. We skipped a lot of the "touristy" sites and felt we had a more authentic experience.

Excellent. Guides at each location were friendly, personable and knowledgeable. Want to share a special thank you to Nadia Thakul (Bangkok) & Mr. Buntheun (Siem Reap). After missing my connecting flight from Shanghai to Siem Reap, I called Mr. Buntheun to let him know I was not able tomake it to Siem Reap as planned and for him to notify the hotel. I was flying instead to Phnom Phen and would notify him later of my flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival in Phnom Phen as I was filling out my visa on arrival form, a Remote Land guide greeted me and told me that Mr. Buntheun had notified the Bangkok office of my predicament and sent him to greet me. As you can imagine being in a foreign land in an unplanned location he was a sight for sore eyes. He got me in contact with Nadia who then took care of the rest of the accommodations (hotel, transportation to/from airport and flight from Phnom Phen to Siem Reap the next day). Assistance provided by Remote Lands got us to Siem Reap on time.

On each leg of this SE Asian adventure I was met quickly, efficiently and with caring demeanor by guides. In one instance Remote Lands hired a facilitator to meet me immediately upon disembarking in Hanoi to fast track me through customs and immigration and get me to my driver and guide. Remote Lands also paid for my overweight luggage since there are no business or first class flights within the smaller SE Asian countries. An important learning experience for me. Each guide became a knowledgeable friend, confidante and remarkable resource for anything I wanted. At one point I decided I was done with temple visits, shoes off/on, etc. and asked Remote Lands to cancel any more temples and instead focus on contemporary art venues and voilà, art venues prevailed. After my next travel experience in Mexico for immersive Spanish, I plan on using Remote Lands in a country where I can continue my new Spanish speaking skills.

Remote Lands were fantastic at executing a seamless trip: there was always a guide, an agent, a driver with a super confortable car waiting for us and escorting us. It is a real pleasure not having to worry about the logistics! They take care of everything. They were excellent at handling last minutes changes during the trip but their response time was sometimes a bit slow during the preparation phase. They provided us with very good restaurants recommendations and made all the bookings for us. In a country like Japan where some places can get hard to get access to, it was highly appreciated. Their network of local guides is fantastic, they were all very nice, knowledgeable and interesting. Overall I would really recommend them if you're looking to plan an high-end trip to Japan.

Everyone we met from Remote Lands went above and beyond for us. Their goal was to make sure we were 125% pleased with everything. They were friendly and accommodating. They changed the itinerary to meet our request - everything done with a smile. When we left an item on the plane Jasmine and her team tracked it down and picked it up. In Bali, Mr Sukrata made sure we enjoyed our tours, learned a lot and that our hotels took care of us. He was excellent. Get the VIP treatment when you land, you won’t regret it.

It was a joy to work with Remote Lands. Travelling to India can be daunting and stressful, but from the planning stage, to getting picked up at the airport, through our trip, and even at departure; remote lands made it easy comfortable and incredibly rewarding. I cannot thank the team at Remote Lands enough, and our guide and driver were honestly the best we have ever experienced.

We were pleased with our tours, guides, and wonderful hotels. Only caveat was that the Ha Long Bay Junk accommodations were not upscale. Not very clean. But the guide on the boat was really good. We were able to go places without crowds—remote beaches, caves. And the food was really good. Hotels sublime in all locations except Ha Ling Bay. Loved the Four Seasons, Capella. All tour guides great! Loved walking through jungle to see sunrise over Angkor Wat Also loved the bike ride on island in Mekong Delta

The Remote Lands team coordinated everything on the ground including a tour guide and driver everywhere we went. Made the trip so much easier and more importantly we saw way more of Japan than I could have done alone. Was a great experience!

Wow is all we can say! We were amazed as to how timely everything was executed. The trip met and exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Hero, was knowledgeable, helpful, and just an all round nice person. He helped us navigate food ordering and gave us a personal experience we won’t forget. He is a treasure with his calm demeanor and patience. Eva was a delight for our Hakone experience. It was a little warmer at the time we traveled but we especially appreciated the driver who met us with cold towels. The accommodations in Hakone was beyond expectations. The Osaka Conrad and Kyoto hotels were excellent. The Kochi hotel could use some improvements (couldn’t provide the number of extra pillows we requested and they were very small). We did enjoy ride on train to Kochi but not sure we would go again if booking again. We however loved going to Nara which wasn’t on our original iternary. Thank you for a well executed and terrific vacation.

Our group of six was very pleased with the drivers and guides that RL used during our time in Japan. All were good, and our last 2 guides were superb. They had great depth of knowledge which they shared with us, and they were very nice people to tour with.

Remote Lands took care of us. We were accompanied everywhere including on the bullet train! The guides were superb, friendly and knowledgeable. We liked the variety of experiences- walking through the various sections of Tokyo, learning about renowned Japanese architects like Ando, visiting temples and shrines, and viewing the Peace Memorial at Hiroshima. Loved the vans!!!

Remote Lands provided us with an amazing tour guide, Youngsun Nam, (AKA Angela) for our eight days in South Korea. She traveled with us from Seoul to Busan. What a difference it makes to be able to communicate well. She really engaged, my two young adult daughters and planned a few surprises that we really enjoyed!

The tour guides, Take and Miho, were just the greatest. They were very knowledgeable just about everything. They made it very easy to get around and just provided the greatest service even after hours to ensure we had a great trip. I want to stress that Take and Miho were just amazing. I surely hope their effort and dedication doesn't go unnoticed!
