Waldorf Astoria Trianon Palace Versailles

Waldorf Astoria Trianon Palace Versailles

Next to the Château de Versailles, the Trianon Palace Versailles — the first Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts property in France — is steeped in aristocratic lore. The Treaty of Versailles was drafted in its gilded Salon Clemenceau. A sparkling redesign has brought forth an elegantly subdued color palette with brilliant bursts of purple, gold and apple green that accent the checkerboard marble floors and crystal chandeliers. Phenom Gordon Ramsay heads his Michelin-star namesake restaurant, his first in France. There’s a Guerlain Spa with a Grecian-style indoor pool, and Louis XIV's château lies just beyond the wooded parkland.

Hotel Tip

Treat yourself to the extensive Terrace Suite, complete with a wrought-iron balcony, providing an incomparable panoramic view of the Château de Versailles.

Holy Heck what a Hotel

We had never stayed at a Waldorff Astoria. First, the service is what you would expect. There were always multiple people wanting to help you. The hotel itself is literally a 2 minute walk from the Palace. If you want to tour that, it makes total sense to stay there. The walk to dinner was less than 20 minutes and you felt very safe. The quality of the room was astounding. The bed very comfortable, the bathroom huge, and the room itself was immaculate. The amenities were great. Kids used the fitness center. We had drinks at the bar. Overall it was price-wise what you would expect but highly recommended for a short-term elegant experience.

Beautiful Hotel

This hotel was beautiful and perfectly situated at the edge of the Versailles gardens. Our room was lovely, as was the hotel staff. My only complaint? We checked in, went straight to the Palace and left for the airport the next morning before the breakfast buffet was even out. I hope to stay here again and actually enjoy the restaurants, gardens and spa services.

Beautiful property. Convenient to Paris. Wonderful room ( even without an upgrade). Breakfast buffet was exceptional and staff attentive. Had dinner on property and was pleased with menu, preparation and value. Language was never an issue. The view of sheep and goats out our window was unexpected and delightful. Hope to revisit. Great experience.
