While the property was beautiful, we stayed in 2 different types of rooms, one exceptional and the other very disappointing. The level of service was below par for a 5 star resort.

Did not meet expectations

Post Ranch Inn is usually so highly rated that we expected the best. While its setting and food are truly wonderful, we found the service and facilities spotty and tired. The spa is dated and nothing special and the fitness room is very lacking. Yoga class was marginal at best. We understand that they have had several managers in the past 2 years, so maybe that is why the service was rocky...e.g. they forgot our breakfast room service, brought it is dixie cups at the last minute, then 10 minutes later, brought the same food again. The food is the highlight, and we had great service in the dining room.

Unfortunately, we were not able to stay here due to the recent floods and closing of the highway. Hopefully, one day we will return since we have heard nothing but great reviews.

Over the top spectacular views. Amenities rustic but appropriately comfortable. Service was faultless.
