Amanwella

Amanwella

Amanwella reigns above a tranquil beach between two rocky headlands. Serene and stylish, this is a tropical paradise for the ages – be as active or as lazy as you wish. While you have every opportunity to commune with giant turtles, snorkel, and visit protected elephant herds in nearby national parks, remember to take time to curl up in your ocean-view suite with its floor-to-ceiling windows, plunge pool, timber sliding doors, and spacious terrace with double sun lounger; everything was designed with your utmost pleasure in mind. Do indulge in a spa bath, while sipping fresh king-coconut juice or Champagne.

Hotel Tip

Join one of the resort's tours to Mulkirigala, an important monastic site situated on an isolated rock formation.

    Sustainability

    Our Commitment

Aman has solely started focusing on sustainability, ensuring that we as a brand and as a group of highly dedicated and worldly individuals do our part in preserving our valuable resources for the good of our planet and for the future of generations to come. At Amangalla and Amanwella, we have eliminated 97% of single-use plastic and we are pursuing to achieve 100% within the next couple of months. We are already practicing placing glass bottles in the rooms instead of any plastic bottles and we only use paper straws in all our beverages served at the resort. We also do have bicycles available at both resorts, for our guests to utilize when wandering in the Galle Fort or even through the paddy fields in Tangalle, without using any carbon emission vehicles. All our Spa products and Toiletries for hotel guests feature local and natural ingredients as well as organic products. We do integrate organic produce in our menus as much as possible, by using from our own vegetable and fruit gardens and we have implemented a re-planting of coconut trees as a guest experience.
