    Sustainability

    Our Commitment

Bellagio supports the MGM Resorts’ philosophy for Social Impact & Sustainability by being Focused on What Matters: Embracing Humanity and Protecting the Planet. This approach - which includes a series of long-term goals to Foster Diversity & Inclusion, Invest in our Communities and Protect the Planet - is described in detail in the Company’s Social Impact & Sustainability Report.

In terms of environmental sustainability specifically, Bellagio celebrates the beauty of nature through intentional design throughout the interior and in the world-famous Bellagio Conservatory. The Bellagio Fountains uses water recycled from the O Theatre pools, and from an on-site well. Efficient LED lighting is used throughout, and Bellagio operates an extensive behind-the-scenes materials diversion program through which over 20 different materials are sorted and diverted from landfills. In addition, Bellagio benefits from Southern Nevada’s globally leading infrastructure for circular water management, and practically every gallon of water used inside the property is returned to Lake Mead.

Bellagio receives up to 90% of its daytime power from the MGM Resorts Mega Solar Array. With 323,000 panels spread over 640 acres in North Las Vegas, this is the hospitality industry’s largest directly sourced renewable energy project in the world, and helps Bellagio significantly reduce its carbon footprint.
