Hotel Lungarno

Owned by the Salvatore Ferragamo Family

Hotel Lungarno

Owned by the Ferragamo family, Hotel Lungarno is perched along the south bank of the River Arno, just a stone's throw from the Duomo, the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery. After a major refurbishment in 2017, the guestrooms are utterly delightful, all of them with fine antique furnishings, original paintings from the hotel's collection and soothing colors. Consider Junior Suite Torre, in the medieval tower, or Suite Picasso, where, from a private balcony overlooking the city and the river, you'll enjoy extraordinary views. Enjoy remarkable views at Michelin-star restaurant Borgo San Jacopo, too, with the superb Italian cuisine.

Hotel Tip

Junior Suites feature a private river terrace, providing the perfect spot for romance or relaxing with friends. Nothing beats the view of the Arno. –Nancy Cutter Charlotte, North Carolina

Great location next to the Arno River. Virtuoso amenities upgraded our room, free-wifi, buffet breakfast, and transfer to Train station in a private sedan. Room was clean, modernly decorated and bright. Staff was gracious and answered any questions or issues we had. Location near museums, many restaurants and shops. Best place to stay. Will stay here next time we visit the area. A+

Only steps from the Spanish steps the location of this small jewell is ideal. Breakfast on the roof top terrace with its sweeping view of Rome is the ideal way to begin the day. The contemporary luxe furnishings of the suite are a perfect contrast to the hectic pace of the city.

Stayed here for 3 nights and didn't want to leave. Our room had a great terrace overlooking the Arno which was amazing. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean and calming. The breakfast room was a peaceful way to start the day.

This place was amazing. The staff was so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I was well taken care of. They offered dinner recommendations as well as activities to fill up my free time without even asking. When I had questions about cultural difference, the were extremely helpful and making sure I fit in as best I could. I want to go back just so I can stay with these people again.

5 Star Hospitality, Location & Room

We loved our stay at Hotel Lungarno. The hospitality, helpfulness and friendliness of the staff literally took my breath away- I was beyond impressed. Their kindness helped in making our stay truly 100% enjoyable and relaxing. Our room was gorgeous- we had a massive balcony on the river, large bathroom with updated features and plenty of natural sunlight. I felt the room itself was rather larger for a Florence hotel. I loved the old world charm and integrity kept throughout the hotel, but yet you'd still find update features and modern flare. The location is perfection. You can walk to anything and everything, and the river is as beautiful as it gets. Definitely dine at the restaurant within the hotel. Request a balcony seating and make a reservation- very unique, creative menu. Not only will you be blown away by the mix of flavors but also the presentation. A little pricey but worth it.

It was fabulous. This was where we stayed the longest. It had just reopened after an extensive renovation. It was ideal for all needs--they even supplied a flat iron which made several in our party so happy! The staff was very attention and the recommendations for tours and dining were great.

We loved Lungarno. Despite being right in the middle of the action next to the Ponte Vecchio, it had an element of privacy that we loved. Being on the side of the river opposite the largest tourist sites, it had great access to a more local restaurant scene while still being within walking distance to everything important. The rooms and service were spot on. The lobby bar and restaurant was a perfect combination of liveliness and privacy. Excellent hotel.

We were in one of the apartments so we did not interact much with the hotel staff. Those we did talk to were very helpful. Apartment was nice and location was great. There was a fair amount of noise during the day from the renovation work that is in progress.
