Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria

Amalfi, Coast, Capri, Positano, Ravello, Honey Moon Wedding Resort Family Pompei Naples Ischia Rome

Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria

The historic Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria’s most popular suite is the signature suite Enrico Caruso, which retains much of the same décor and furnishings (including the piano) from when the famous Italian tenor called it home in 1921. Garden-view junior suites overlook the beautiful orange grove, while sea-view junior suites and sea-view deluxe suites have amazing views over the Mediterranean Sea and Mt. Vesuvius. And there’s so much to do! Relax in the tranquil garden, swim in the pool or take the lift down to the pier. It’s the perfect base from which to explore the area, including Capri, Positano, Ravello, Pompeii and Naples.

Hotel Tip

Experience a gourmet dinner at Michelin-starred restaurant Terrazza Bosquet and enjoy an elegant combination of regional and Mediterranean cuisine, using fresh, local produce — some from the hotel's garden.

Beautiful, iconic

Iconic hotel in a great location. The hotel grounds offer many outdoor areas for relaxation, with hammocks in a park, a citrus garden, and a great outdoor pool. The patio out back has great views of the water from up on high, and the dinner is Michelin-rated and excellent. Definitely the place I'd stay the next time I'm in Sorrento.

Amazing hotel

This hotel was a fantastic oasis in the middle of Sorrento. It is a perfect 5 star experience with two great restaurants, an extraordinary breakfast, great spa and very nice guest rooms. The historic setting on the site of an imperial villa is so unique. Lastly, the terrace on the cliff was a great location for evening drinks or a late night dessert.

Excelsior Vittoria in Sorrento is by far the best hotel one can stay at on the northern Amalfi coast. Location a 10. Service a 10. Hospitality a 10. Property a 12(out of 10). Ferries to Capri, Positano and Naples an elevation trip away. Would insist on any of my friends going to this region to stay here. Perfection.

Beautiful hotel and excellent location. Very courteous and helpful staff. Best hotel I have stayed at in Italy. Received a personal greeting from the owner. Will likely return here for family reunion to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary in 2020.

Room was not ready when we arrived, told we were upgraded to "seaside view" but you could only see a sliver of the ocean if you peered your head over a slate roof and roadway. Pool nice but too crowded, couldn't find anywhere to sit.
