Ellerman House is passionate about sharing the very best of South Africa with our guests, from our warm hospitality and exceptional Ellerman experiences to our private art collection that instills a strong sense of place. South Africa’s rich culture and history is celebrated through over a thousand artworks dating back to the mid-nineteenth century, allowing guests a unique opportunity to capture moments of the country’s social and political climate throughout the ages. Ellerman House is dedicated to supporting its local community, which begins at home through staff upliftment and continuous training and extends beyond our walls through the Click Foundation. Our shared objective is to make a meaningful, long-term difference by combatting the education crisis in South Africa, through online literacy programmes deployed in under-privileged primary schools across the country. Equally important in Ellerman’s commitment to sustainability is a variety of ongoing environmental initiatives to protect the planet, such as waste management including recycling and single-use plastic reduction, water saving including an indigenous water-wise garden, boreholes and other measures, as well as a strong focus on local procurement.
