Stunning Suite, Friendly Helpful Staff

By: EmHouston

The staff at the Hotel Sacher Wien was impressive from the moment of check-in. Very friendly, professional and helpful. From the front desk to the Concierge, we were very well taken care of. We were upgraded (thank you CSB and Virtuosa) upon check-in to an amazing deluxe suite. It was stunning and in perfect condition. Very large bath with heated towel rack, separate bath and shower area, all beautifully appointed and maintained. The hotel arranged their car to take us to the airport at 4 am. They were even friendly at 4 am! When I got to the airport I realized I forgot to turn in my keys. I called the hotel and they told me not to worry, to just mail them back when I got back to the states. Very nice considering they were beautiful embossed leather keys to a named suite. I would highly recommend this hotel!

The Hotel Sacher Wien is a beautiful hotel with an expert staff who deliver the highest levels of service. Great location within walking distance of all of the most famous landmarks in Vienna. The rooms were nice and comfortable: the breakfast was delicious, providing anything that one would want for breakfast! Best part of the hotel experience for us was the consistent high level of service from the front door to the check-in desk to the bars and restaurants. All of that made our Vienna experience over the top!

Filled with rich history, Sacher Wien is an excellent choice for visiting Vienna. The staff could not be more accomodating and proud of their piece of local history. The rooms are all updated and bring a modern living sensibility to a classic architectural surround. Outstanding location. Super cool and intimate lobby bar.

The Sacher Wien is just one of those places you must experience at least once, and hopefully, many times. Everything they do is just about perfect. When we left and were boarding our flight, I realized that I left my watch in our room. I called them, they tracked it down, communicated via text while I was in flight, and then DHL'd my watch to me and insisted on paying for the shipment. Wow, who does that? A really great hotel does, that's who.

Chocolate decadence!

I have a weakness for chocolate. There are no words to describe the Hotel Sacher, home of the Sacher Torte. From the people working there to the beautiful rooms and delicious food, the experience was unbelievable. We found two mini Sacher Tortes in our room every day and the shampoo, conditioner, and soap provided by the hotel were all chocolate based, and when we left and complimented them on the deliciousness of their Sacher Tortes, they gave us four to take with us. You haven't lived until you have eaten a chocolate Sacher Torte before taking a shower only to come out smelling like chocolate! It was heaven.

We felt privileged to be guests in this beautiful hotel. Through Virtuoso, we were upgraded to the Nurejev Suite- the nicest hotel room we have ever experienced. Abundant and luxurious room amenities, enjoyed the Blue Bar, and the breakfast buffet offered an incredible variety. Note: we thought about the Hotel Bristol and checked it out while we were in Vienna. It was lovely, and, we are SO glad that we chose the Hotel Sacher instead.

Although in a great location and having a relatively helpful staff, we were disappointed with our stay at the Hotel Sacher Wien. For the price paid the rooms we had were with very little natural light and felt "dingy" and dark. I would not suggest staying at this hotel and when I return will look for a hotel with more inviting rooms.
