Bauer Palazzo

Bauer Palazzo

Bauer Palazzo, the famed hotel just steps from St. Mark’s Square, is beloved for its carved-stucco ceilings, gilt-framed mirrors and Murano glass chandeliers — and for the brightness and openness of its redesigned rooms and suites. Some have traditional furnishings, like plush button-tufted couches, and others have more contemporary décor; suites on the top floor have a charming Italian design. The views are grand from the terrace of the De Pisis Restaurant. Enjoy an aperitif at the Bar Canale Terrace and a jazz concert at BBar lounge. The “7th Sky” Terrace offers the most amazing view of the city, from the Grand Canal to the Alps.

Hotel Tip

Reserve the outdoor rooftop Jacuzzi for two and soak in the panorama, get fit in the gym with a personal trainer or relax with one of the exclusive SPA treatments.

Charm and elegance

The Bauer Il Palazzo has much to offer any traveler to Venice. Its location, close to St. Mark's, is ideal. Rooms are elegantly decorated with modern finishes and conveniences. The ground floor restaurant allows its patrons an entertaining panorama of the Grand Canal's boat traffic. Combined with creative and delicious cuisine, we enjoyed a picture-perfect dining experience. The rooftop breakfast terrace has a similar, although bird's eye, vantage point. The staff in the hotel and the restaurants were unfailingly courteous and helpful.

We just loved this hotel. The food was excellent, but the views from the restaurants were even better! Breakfast high-up overlooking the canal and the city was a great memory.

Our suite was bigger than we ever expected. Concierge was a great help. Restaurant for dinner and breakfast, and outdoor patio for afternoon drinks were fantastic.

Bauer Palazzo

We were in Venice during the Film Festival, so our 1st and 2nd choice of hotels were fully booked. We went with the Bauer Palazzo and while the location is great, it was lacking in other areas. The service was ok and the food was not great. I will say that the view from our room (facing the grand canal) was beautiful.

Chose this hotel for the location and was not disappointed. Perfect spot for all of the "must see" items including the Academia, Doges Palace and San Marco Square. Staff was efficient and attentive to my needs. The neighborhood around the hotel offers great shopping and dining options.
