Our Commitment
Our Commitment to Sustainability:
- At Explora Rapa Nui, our first mission is that our guests experience the Rapa Nui patrimony, first hand. Our local guides will lead excursions specifically aimed at exploring the enormous archaeological heritage of the island, as well as the stories and the history of this mysterious island and its inhabitants.
- Our commitment with the local community is embodied through the support of the local celebration of the Tapati every year. In this festival, the local community highlights their traditions and cultural heritage. Explora provides resources so the local organizing committee can make this festival a great celebration.
- Even more, every year from 2003, Explora supports the Terevaka Archaeological Outreach, a program for you Rapa Nui students who want to learn more and research about their own history and traditions. Explora supports logistics and provides the facilities so this boarding program can invite a growing number of young participants (around 30 in 2019).
