Hotel Tip

Stop by the gift store for spectacular hand-blown glasses by Zafferano. They might look familiar: The hotel uses them in their dining room. –Lucy Butler Los Angeles, California

    Sustainability

    Our Commitment

    Our Commitment to Sustainability:

    • Climate: Rosa Alpina uses LED lighting, we have in-room fliers inform the guests about the choice to have the bedsheets changed daily or not, we tried to optimize food on the breakfast buffet and added more a la carte options.
    • Water: Biodegradable plastic straws are being used in some F&B outlets, we offer metal bottles as an amenity in all guestrooms. In the restaurants, all the bottles are in glass, from local water sources.
    • Land: we implemented a software for internal communication instead of using paper. We are eliminating any paper copies in all reservations processes.
    • Conscious Consumption: 75% of all produce offered throughout the F&B outlets should be, as much as possible, local, sustainable, seasonal, organic and healthy
    • Ocean/Land to table – Part of the F&B strategy is to order directly from local vendors, producers: local farming, fishing & craft food producing communities – health, quality & transparency in sourcing – aim towards Zero-KM foods
    • Fair Trade certified suppliers for Coffee, tea, chocolate and honey
    • Waste Management:
      • Refuse - instruct all suppliers that they should reduce the number of containers, packaging and use reusable containers they will collect
      • Reduce - Reduce the production of all internal packaging and challenge the use of any other equipment
      • Reuse - every equipment as much as possible
