Truly one of Best Hotels in World

My husband and I recently stayed at the Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok. The hotel is situated on a gorgeous property with one of the best views of the river. The hotel is beautifully appointed and our bedroom was beyond our expectations. Every floor had a butler that provided outstanding service. There were great choices of restaurants and the food was delicious. We took advantage of the health facilities and pampered ourselves to a relaxing couple's massage. The only regret is that we stayed only two nights. Anyone looking for exceptional quality and service, this is the hotel for you!

Top notch hotel in Bangkok which I would highly recommend. Had a room on a high floor overlooking the river. Could have just looked out the river all day and been happy. Dining on the river front was wonderful. Also enjoyed the dinner show. Food and service were both excellent and we enjoyed the Bamboo Bar

Mandarin Oriental = Paradise in Bangkok

Mandarin Oriental is the flagship "Oriental" of the chain. A remarkable hotel with an attentive staff, a breakfast buffet to kill for, two pools, an amazing gym, huge comfortable rooms and a nice bar. The entire hotel is draped in beautiful fresh flowers. Access to dock for boat transport for tours. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.
Disaster on the river

This place looks to have outlived its reputation for being a good hotel many years ago. Bangkok is a Hell hole and this hotel was awful. King and I garb they had the employees in was cheesy. No sir conditioned restaurants were open when we were there - closed due to repairs or rainy season. It was way too hot to eat under fans in river terrace. We checked out after being there 3 hours - moved across river to The Peninsula - that is a great hotel in a crappy city.

Having been a regular guest to MO Bangkok, we decided to revisit after a pause of several years, wanted to check out the renovated Garden Wing. They have done a great job, compliments! And we were given an upgrade to one of the new Garden Wing Suites, which are amazing!

This was our fourth visit to the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok and the level of service was excellent. We hope to return in the near future. Great food and highly recommend the Spa.
