    Sustainability

    Our Commitment

At Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich, we are committed to providing a sustainable and luxurious guest experience. We minimise our environmental impact where possible and maximise our positive social impact through numerous initiatives. We are proud to have been awarded the EarthCheck Gold Certificate for our sustainable hotel management practices and are committed to continuous improvement. We carefully monitor and report on our resource consumption, carbon footprint and waste management, and continually implement new technologies to reduce our operational impact. We also collaborate with local suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability and have eliminated single-use plastics from all our guest facilities. We also work with Clean The World to recycle soap and bottled amenities and aspire to use only environmentally friendly packaging for our delivery services.

To achieve our sustainability goals, our ESG team has developed a sustainability policy to guide our efforts across all hotel operations, from purchasing and administration to technology and waste management. These include prioritising regional and sustainable sourcing, using deposit boxes, glass bottles and our own herb garden. In the back of house, we use biodegradable cleaning products, promote digitalisation and encourage sustainable staff practices. Further, we are continually upgrading technology for energy and water efficiency, including LED lighting, heat recovery and a building management system. We also manage waste responsibly through segregation, recycling and partnerships such as Clean the World, and support social initiatives such as the Clemens-Maria Children's Home.
