Fairmont Grand Del Mar

First class resort in every way.

Grand Del Mar is a nice facility and staff is pleasant but for the prices they ask, would have expected a better experience. Rooms were extremely nice and comfortable. My biggest complaint was that although staying at the hotel, getting a seat in restaurant was major event. Seems that we were to know that we needed reservations. Might suggest that hotel mention that sometime during check in.

Simply luxurious and beautiful! Lots to do, accommodations were lovely and every staff member was concerned about their guests, spa was exceptional and we plan to go back!

Just outstanding. Service is unparalled, hotel rooms and amenities are great, highly, highly recommend!

As you pull up to the Fairmont in San Diego, you realize you are in for a special experience. The grounds and views are spectacular. The service and treatment are amazing. While you feel a million miles away, all the main attractions are easily accessible. If you are looking for a luxury property near San Diego, I can't imagine a better property than the Fairmont.

It was over the top. Surpassed any of our expectations. We plan to return in January.

We had an excellent stay at the Grand Del Mar. The suites were terrific, and the service was outstanding (other than the Commuinist Manifesto in having to wear a silly mask - the same ones the CDC now asserts are worthless - while running on a treadmill in the Fitness facility).

This hotel is perfect for our family of 4, with our toddler and baby leading us to require a lot of space in order to be comfortable. We also travelled with our nanny and the the suite accommodations were absolutely beautiful for everyone! The hotel provided a cute little tent for our 3 year old, and she was over the moon with how pretty and cozy it was in her little bed/tent. The kids also loved going out on the little balcony for fresh air. All staff was great and accommodating, in-room dining options were very good for a 4-night stay--I didn't feel sick of everything and it wasn't totally unhealthy. I really liked that the bathrooms were very very generous with space, and that the closets had a dressing area/bench which added more privacy and space to store stuff.

Just lovely. The staff was extremely friendly and responded to all our needs in a timely fashion. Room was beautiful with terrace overlooking pool. Never experienced such cool, as in temperature, hallways in all our travels.

Gorgeous property! The decor is a bit dated, but everything is meticulously maintained, so nothing feels worn-out or dirty. The service provided by the staff at the Grand Del Mar is second to none. Every single person went out of their way to make sure that we had a wonderful experience. Could not recommended this staff or property more.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful hotel. The service was excellent. The food was delicious.

This resort is wonderful! There are a lot of activities, a great spa, and there are many restaurant options. The concierge helped us plan our daily schedule with a lot of activities like tennis, horseback riding, and helping us plan a drive along the coast to see the communities. We also really loved the pool and the service at the pool was great. All of the staff tried so hard to make our stay enjoyable and we can’t wait to go back again!

Great hotel, delicious food, accommodating and nice staff We will be coming back!

This was a beautiful, historic property in the hills above Del Mar. The facilities and service were excellent. The golf course was beautiful and very well maintained. The golf staff were exceptional. .The food service however was generally lacking. Hours and choices were limited and given that you are up in the hills away from any restaurants or bars this was a clear drawback to the property.

We had an amazing experience at the hotel, the only thing for feedback is regarding one of the female concierge’s, we asked her about activities with the kids in the hotel and she seemed to have no idea and was not very helpful, she also seemed kind of annoyed with us just for asking.
