We stayed at the Hassler during our recent visit to Rome. It is a classic hotel with wonderful accommodations and service. And the location couldn't be better at the top of the Spanish steps. We would especially like to emphasize our appreciation of the service provided by their concierge Ricardo. His assistance was invaluable with any requests we made during our stay. We would stay at the Hassler again without any hesitation.

Beautiful Decor at Hotel Hassler

Hotel Hassler is a beautiful hotel full of the extravagant traditional touches one would expect in historic Rome. Our room was incredibly large and luxurious. It even had a walk-in closet and marble bathroom! We had an issue with our air conditioning, but the staff was very quick to respond and try to resolve it. The included breakfast featured many pastries and some fruit, but not much else that was appealing. Overall we were very happy with our stay at Hotel Hassler.

Disappointed

This hotel has a great reputation. Location in Rome could not be more perfect except if you're walking back and need to continually climb the Spanish Steps. Arrived early, room not ready. No worries. Told to come back in 30 minutes. Came back in 90, room still not ready. Given upgrade at that point. Room fine. Dinner on rooftop restaurant. Outstanding view. Service very formal. Excellent appetizers, entree terrible. For 48 euro each had a fillet of beef unchewable. My wife's monkfish was size of two sugar cubes. Asked for two prosseco, served nice wine, 37 euro each. Last time their superb in 2004. Now, go elsewhere with a view.

The Hotel Hassler was our favorite hotel in Italy! The service we received was excellent and because of Cindi and her Virtuoso connection we received an upgrade to a beautiful room with a balcony. The breakfast buffet every morning was delicious and the staff always greeted you with a smile on their face. The Hotel Hassler was first-rate!
