The room was what we hoped for, clean, quiet and very comfortable. The staff were very helpful with restaurant and winery reservations/tastings.

Nice hotel - a little pricey

It was nice. The room but I wish it was a little bigger. We got the king with fireplace. I think in the future I would just get a regular king. I don't think the fireplace was worth the extra $30/night.
This is an older hotel but it's still very nice and the location was great. I was glad that breakfast was part of our package because I found it very expensive. We even went over the $70 allotment one day for what I considered a normal breakfast of eggs, bacon toast and coffee! They charge extra for things like toast or adding cheese to your eggs, which I found to be a little ridiculous.
All in all I would still say it was a nice stay.

Spa was amazing. Massages, pools, anti gravity chairs, areas in the sun etc.
Food was good. Rooms were big. However hopefully we didn't pay for the balcony. No view and one chair fit on the balcony. The fireplace required real wood which they provided. However gas would have been nicer.

The Fairmont Sonoma is a very nice hotel. We needed more time at the hotel to explore everything it had to offer. The rooms were spacious and the beds were wonderful! Breakfast at Sante was delightful with a varied menu. The trip included a $70 room credit for breakfast. Unfortunately, we didn't discover until check-out that the credit didn't include our morning mimosa's. We weren't told that the hotel only provides one-way shuttle service to downtown Sonoma. We had to get an Uber to return us to the hotel.

Our stay was lovely. The concierge, Debra, was exceptional. She helped us before and during our trip. She was very pleasant and accommodating.
We also had a great experience at the spa on the property.

Great service and very comfortable rooms. The only thing I would suggest is to not stay in the harvest building as it is very noisy. It is best to splurge and get one of the suites.

Older hotel. Food choices fair. Bathroom fair. Shower heads impossible both in room and spa. Did not receive an upgrade. Did not have a balcony in Vineyard suite. Second floor room no elevator. Not good for older people. Spa locker room for women was awful. Old and certainly not luxury.
Charge for parking, another for resort and another to use spa pool and facilities. Plus high chg for room without a balcony. No we would not go back.
