Staying at Raffles was a wonderful experience. The hotel has so much charm and history. The grounds are very tropical and beautiful. Everything is kept up so perfectly. Being there is like stepping back to a quieter, more peaceful time. I can't imagine being in Singapore and not staying at Raffles.

Raffles treated us like royalty for our stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted with Singapore Slings and a beautiful display of swans and roses from our butler. The hotel is gorgeous and the accommodations are stunning. The service is also impeccable. The staff went as far to provide an early breakfast for us, so that we would be fed before our flight. I can’t say enough good things.

My husband and I enjoyed every aspect of our stay at Raffles Hotel recently.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, friendly and so helpful and kind.
Our check in process was lovely with everything organised in comfortable lounge chairs.
Our room was totally stunning, with a large four poster bed, gourmet chocolates to choose on arrival, a fridge that included drinks and snacks, a most beautiful bathroom and a large verandah to enjoy sitting out on at night.
We went to the Tiffin Room restaurant, the Long Bar, The Writers Bar and all of these were fabulous.
Our favourite experience was the pool area. We swam each day, we had breakfast by the pool one morning and we had lunch and drinks at other times and the staff there were so wonderful and kind and helpful. We would return to Raffles just to see those lovely bar staff lead by Clarence.
Everything at Raffles went beyond our expectations and we would love to stay again.

From the minute we stepped out of the car we were smitten with this wonderful historical hotel! The mix of cultures and the sense of the past are unlike anything we have experienced elsewhere. It was also clear at every turn that ownership has invested a great deal of time, care and money to keep the property in first class shape.
Our suite in the hotel was warm and comfortable and provided a great place to recover from travel. Each meal in the various food and beverage outlets was top notch. Don't miss the delicious Indian dinner or a cocktail in the Writers Bar!
Our favorite moments, though, were probably the lovely breakfasts in the courtyard. We loved exploring the mix of foods and the perfect service, but most of all we were taken by Leslie, one of the hotel's resident historians. We visited casually one morning, and the next morning he kindly joined us for breakfast and gave us a fabulous overview of the history and values of the hotel.

Why leave Raffles?

One of the finest hotels we have been to around the world. Staff was fantastic. Garden suite was quit and roomy, well appointed. We had a three night stay, and did go out one day, but we would have been fine with just staying at beautiful historic Raffles. And it was fantastic meeting Leslie and hearing such history, and kudos to Pradhib and Suraj, our butlers.
Hope to come back soon.

We stayed here as part of our 4 month trip of Asia.
Staff were awesome in every respect.
We were upgraded on our return from the E and O express trip and can only sing the highest praises of the staff.
Have a Singapore sling at the long Bar ..its worth it.

Raffles is an icon and your readers don't need a review. I'll just say that we are connoisseurs of colonial era hotels in Asia, and Raffles is the best.
Raffles has a rich history, and we loved it that it has a Resident Historian. He joined us for breakfast one day and regaled us with incidents and gossip from the hotel's past, enriching our stay.
We were upgraded to a beautiful suite at no extra charge upon arrival. This was no ordinary upgrade, the suite has a rack rate of $14k/night. Thank you, Ourisman!
I'll just add the location is central - we were able to walk everywhere.
