The property in Jasper was amazing!  The hotel staff was vey helpful with planning trips, restaurants, and questions about the wildlife. The breakfast was included each day which was a great perk! The room was very spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom!

Do visit, but book the right room

Really enjoyed our time at this resort - beautiful location, very relaxing, great "vintage" feel to it, tons of wildlife around and nice areas to explore on and nearby the property. However, our first night was in a regular lake front room, and it was rather disappointing - lacked comfort, charm, style - felt like a 1970s HoJo room. But, we were able to upgrade the next few nights to a lakefront suite - and this really made the vacation work. Clearly in a newer building than the other older ones - the room was fantastic - great sitting room and patio overlooking the lake, lovely bedroom, huge spa-like bathroom, wetbar... Felt like we had gone from economy to first-class. Service was overall pretty good - much of the staff was clearly new, young and inexperienced, but they were so very friendly and trying hard, so it was hard to fault them too much. Overall, loved our stay here, once we upgraded rooms!

The location is beautiful, we enjoyed the walk around the lake and the numerous trails. As expected, Fairmont staff was excellent. Breakfast buffet was good, we would have preferred a few more healthy choices. The hotel is getting a little dated in some areas, for example the furniture in the lounge area. Fitness centre is small and some equipment should be replaced. Overall is was okay value, hotel room price was quite expensive for that time of year.

It was great after confusions about staying in Lodge vs cabins. We did get a cabin and saw close up the elk that sometimes wander the grounds of the Lodge.

Can’t say enough glowing words about this property. Perfect combination of luxury and comfort. Lake Louise and banff were a little too massive. Room was great size in main lodge. Stables were great!
