Great location, good hotel, pleasant service,

Budapest is one of the nicest cities in Europe. Last time we were there it was 48 years ago 9 years after Hungarian uprising 1956. Change can not be described. We arrived just after the big flood so some of the atractions were closed (Margaret Island). Despite some of the limitations our 3 days stay was very busy and enjoyable. Hop on hop of busses are our favoutite to see the City

Our travel agent recommended we arrive 1 day before the river tour started. great advice since we slept 12 hrs at this hotel and were well prepared for our river cruse. Excellent facility, good staff and the upgraded suite with a king sized bed appreciated. Located in heart of budapest, great walks around that location.

Great Budapest Breakfast

The Kempinski Hotel in a Budapest is very centrally located, has a helpful staff, and the beds are really comfortable, But it is the breakfast that stands out for me. Breakfast is served in groovy , light filled room with a well dressed staff that went out of its way to get is hogs like carrot juice. There are many stations offering all sorts of wonderful food- meats and cheeses each have their own area, pastries have their own wall space and change daily, and you can order all sorts of eggs and cooked Meats. They had fruit I couldn't pronounce and yoghurt with all sorts of nuts I knew. They have juices and home made yoghurt and it was wonderful. They upgraded us and treated us well, it's a great hotel. Go hungry.

Very nice hotel right where you want to be in Budapest. Convenient to everything. The room was big and comfortable and the spa is amazing. Best of all was the restaurant with great service and excellent food. The restaurant would make any choice gluten-free and they even had a wide selection of gluten-free bread, rolls and croissants. We stayed in the hotel prior to a Danube River cruise and I would definitely stay at the Kempinski Corvinus Budapest again.

Upon arriving at the hotel, the horror started. We arrived early and didn't expect to get a room (drop off our bag and go sight seeing). WE were told that we were in luck; our room was ready and as a Virtuoso client we would get a double upgrade. The suite was roomy, but poorly lite. We opened the curtains to be faced with a wall shroud in a white netting. What a view? Rather than look at the ugly wall, we quickly closed the curtains. We were on a high from our cruise and decided not to ruin the experience fighting about the room. We would only sleep and dress in the room. The concierge's attitude was one of indifference and boredom, when we inquired about getting tickets to the Parliament . Upon checking out, I mentioned how unhappy we had been with the room. I mentioned the construction netting on the wall and he informed me that, "someone has to stay in the rooms on that side". We would have been happy with a regular room!!!!! Just an awful stay.
