As part of our journey toward a zero-carbon future, we've completed the largest heritage hotel retrofit in North America, earning the prestigious Zero Carbon Building - Performance Standard certification from the Canada Green Building Council.
Sustainability in Action - We integrate sustainability and community empowerment into every stay. Through our partnership with Clean the World/The Wash Foundation, we recycle used soaps and amenities to support global hygiene initiatives. In 2024 alone, we:
Created 16,800+ recycled soap bars and 189 hygiene kits
Conserved more than 6,000 gallons of water
Responsible Sourcing & Food Waste Reduction
Our approach to sustainability extends to the way we source and manage food:
Local & Sustainable Ingredients: Partnering with 100km Foods, we reduce our carbon footprint while supporting regional farmers.
Reducing Food Waste: In 2024, we donated 3,805 kg of food through B12Give, providing 6,295 meals and diverting 32,245 lbs of methane emissions.
Upcycling for Impact: Through Civil Pours, we repurposed 1,303 kg of citrus, helping local entrepreneurs in the food and beverage industry.
