Phenomenal Hotel

If you have any time in Rome you must stay at this property. It's a bit out of the city - which made perfect sense for our stay. It is beautiful, secluded, private, peaceful, and in a lovely setting right on the Mediterranean. The food is to die for, the service impeccable, the grounds and rooms beautiful. It is a magical place. I wish we'd had more nights there and will definitely go back.

Not Our Style

We were disappointed in this hotel for our last night of the trip. It was off the beaten track and was a little intimidating for us. We never seemed to find the right path to get where we were going. We had a third floor room with no elevator. The hotel said second floor, but stairs said third. The restaurant was very nice, but the food was limited and very expensive. We ended up eating the vegetarian meal, for lack of a choice of meat we would eat. We were upgraded to a very nice suite and had a wonderful view. We enjoyed sounds of the sea with our open window. This was not a good choice for us, as my husband was having respiratory issues and had trouble with the stairs. Thank goodness for the bellman for our luggage.

A gem

La Posta Vecchia is a hidden gem -- we spent an amazing last full day of our vacation driving from the Amalfi Coast to Pompeii (where we had an amazing guide for 2 hours) and then continued on to La Posta Vecchia for one night until our flight home (instead of heading back into the city of Rome). It is 30 minutes outside of the airport and it was a gorgeous and relaxing place to spend our last night in Italy. It's a beautiful palazzo with an indoor swimming pool and a sweeping terrace looking out over the sea. A true gem!

Thanks to Martha Gaughen's recommendation we stayed at this fantastic place for our last night in Italy. And thanks to Martha, we received a TRIPLE upgrade when we arrived, complete with a bottle of prosecco and many other amenities. This is an incredible place, with a museum of a Roman villa, found on the site. Our dinner on the terrace overlooking the Tyrehnnian Sea was a magical setting for our farewell to Italy.

La Posta Vecchia was an Oasis outside of Rome on the Mediterranean Sea. Charming old world home with Roman ruins in the bottom of the Mansion! Excellent service and the food was to die for not to mention the Terrace where we spent most of our time! Our room was first class but temp in the room was quite warm but just opened the windows in the room and let the breeze off the water blown in. A wonderful spot to stay a few days outside Rome! Bike, pool, and wonderful cuisine! Will return!

Dreamy Italian Villa

La Posta Vecchia was the last stop for my husband and I on our honeymoon and it was the best way to end our trip. The property is absolutely stunning! Just 40 minutes outside Rome sits this amazing Villa which was rich with history, impeccably maintained, and the best location for a romantic dinner facing the coast. We enjoyed laying by the pool and walking the grounds. The food program was beyond impressive. Most of the vegetables used were grown on the property and you could tell there was a lot of thought behind each plate presented. The breakfast was beautifully presented and so delicious. We cannot wait to get back to Rome and spend a few more nights at this fabulous hotel.

We stayed one night at the hotel. Our biggest issue was some cooling issues. The split unit was located behind the curtains, which made the room warm as it struggled to cool the room. The food and location were excellent for our last night in Rome before a flight home

We LOVED this place. Only sorry that we only planned one night there before we got on the ship for a 12 day cruise. Definitely recommend it to newlyweds or anyone wanting a special, romantic holiday with lots of money to pay for it.

We had the pleasure of staying at La Posta Vecchia recently after returning from a cruise. What a unique and beautiful place! Our room was spectacular as were the grounds, pool and common areas. The museum was so interesting. After being shown the museum by one of the staff, I was allowed to wander back there on my own to see the artifacts and read the signage in more detail. Breakfast was beyond words! I don't recall ever seeing that much food. There was such a variety and everything was so beautifully prepared. Our Advisor Beth Jenkins suggested this for a 1 night stay before returning home - what a treat!
