Taj Mahal, New Delhi also works towards maximizing sustainable use of water. At present water being received from NMDC is of drinking water standards. However, there is huge potential to avoid the usage of this potable water for applications which are not of basic hygiene and food needs. This non-potable purpose like water needs not to be treated hence lot of wastage due to treatment can be avoided. Therefore, the Hotel has bi-furcated the storage and distribution system in such a way that minimum water is wasted during treatment processes.
