Ideal destination

We rented a villa at Half Moon an ideal choice for our "large-ish" group of eight, three generations. This allowed us all privacy with private bedrooms and baths but a dining room, living room and private pool for time spent together. The house also came with a staff of three to make it a genuine holiday, Taneisha, Karrion, and Dexton a big thanks to you. We never lifted a finger and when we did we were (very politely) reminded that what they were there for. Elsewhere in the resort the service was sincere and courteous, in keeping with the calibre of the resort. We took the optional meal plan, we all enjoyed the food. Buffets are not ordinarily my thing and I did try them twice and the were acceptable. Ordering à la carte is the way to go, food prepared for you is always best because it is freshly made; this is not unique at this property. Amenities on-property were as you would expect, all in good repair and uncrowded. Worth the spend.

My family and I went had a 5 day stay here in Oceanfront Villa 50. Each of the 6 guest rooms and the library had their own minisplits, and the views out of each room were great. Kirk (our buter) answered all our questions and set up all our excursions and spa appointments. Having two extended golf carts was very convenient. The beach BBQ was great, but it didn’t come close to Mrs. G’s cooking every meal after that. There was some construction going on, but it didn’t inconvenience us in the least. Instead it just makes me excited to come back when it is done! The villa has its own pool which was great for staying in and relaxing. Also we were right beside the beach. We went to the other beach at the main hotel too which was nice to have full food/drink service while we relaxed on the uncrowded beach. Taking the Hobie Cat sailboat and the kayaks out were great too! The villa had some age, but the service abundantly made up for it. If you go, check out the spa! sugarscrub+ hotstone=10!

From the welcome lounge at the airport, the warm reception at the Rose Hall Villas, to the unparalleled service, I had a truly relaxing and carefree vacation. The Villa staff were so attentive to my needs and even anticipated them. I look forward to making the Rose Hall Villas at Half Moon my annual retreat location!

The staff at Half Moon are always top notch. The old section is well maintained and the new section that was partially open was beautiful and well thought out. The restaurants were good. Only complaint is that the rooms in the older section really need to be updated. Multiple times I had to call maintenance to get the back sliding door in its tracks. I would definitely recommend this resort

It was perfect. Old world charm in the villas ( and plenty of space ), Jamaican culture, modern amenities, frIendly staff, great facilities ( golf, tennis, spa and gym), great food, beautiful beaches and lovely pools.

Half Moon - Ideal Honeymoon!

My fiance and I traveled to Half Moon for our honeymoon and were not disappointed. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodated all of our needs, the food was delicious, and the beach and pools were exquisite. We stayed in founder's cove and would hang out at the Eclipse pool during the day, so we were able to enjoy both parts of the resort - old and new. And the spa was 10/10.

We stayed in the Founders Cove section of Half Moon, in the renovated prestige junior ocean suite. The room was spacious and had a beautiful view. The property was lovely, and staff were always gracious, warm and professional. Beautiful beachfront resort which, in spite of being at full capacity, never felt crowded. We would definitely go back!

beautiful resort and because it was spread out you had the choice of being amongst a crowd or total privacy on the beach. Free bikes all over the resort was a great addition and made going to all the different beaches and restaurants a breeze

The highlights of our stay at Half Moon include a beautiful beach with plenty of resort activities for our family of 5. We loved being able to take advantage of the kids club, golf, tennis, and water sports. The accommodations at Founder’s Cove were a but outdated but spacious. The Eclipse side of the resort was more modern. The spa was wonderful, and we all enjoyed the friendly atmosphere.

LOVED Half Moon and can't wait to go back. Judi put this trip together for us and it was awesome! She wisely booked us into the "Eclipse" section of the resort, which was more adult focused. Through her efforts, we received an upgrade and enjoyed a beautiful ocean view.

My wife and I go to Jamaica at least twice a year, and we have stayed at a bunch of different hotels (Jamaica Inn, Strawberry Hill, Sandals, Jewel Grande, Ziva/Zilara, S Hotel, AC Kingston, Riu, and probably 5-6 others), but Half Moon has become our go-to. The location is perfect (about a 5 minute drive from Scotchies, our favorite jerk centre), it is quiet, the rooms are nice, and the property is so large that even when they are at 100% occupancy, you feel like there are only a few other families staying there. If you are looking for an all-inclusive, party atmosphere, this is not for you. If you want to disconnect and enjoy a luxurious vacation where you can relax, Half Moon is perfect. It also appears to be the property of choice for celebrities in JA, so it is pretty interesting to just pass by someone famous while walking the grounds or sit at the table next to theirs while having a meal.

Great resort that has everything but is so spread out you can have as much privacy as you want. Free bikes to traverse the property are a perfect touch. Very friendly staff.
