The Anantara was simply amazing! The pictures don't do it justice. Service, food, and activities were great. We got an upgrade, even during peak season through Virtuoso. We absolutely loved staying on an elephant camp!

Anantara Golden Triangle is a terrific resort! If was a fabulous experience from the time we arrived using the VIP service (extra charge but well worth the money and you basically get the three country tour up the river) until we departed. The service was impeccable. The was food delicious (we liked the Italian restaurant). Nothing better than having breakfast on the terrace with a baby elephant and overlooking Thailand, Myanmar and Laos. Our room was very comfortable with a great view and plenty of space. We LOVED interacting with the elephants and greatly enjoyed the session with the Mahouts and elephants. Don't miss the chance to ride the elephants. You ride bareback, which is much more comfortable than in a basket. The Spa was fantastic - did that twice. The tour of the Prince Mother's house and gardens and Myanmar was fabulous. A highlight was Dining by Design in the elephant camp - very romantic and worth every penny. Get the inclusive package - it's a bargain. Highly recommend.

Everything about the Anatara and the elephant camp is blissful. From the staff, to the raw nature, spa and food. Oh, and they leave delicious homemade cookies in the shapes of elephants in the room. Added bonus... I can't say enough good things about my experience there. I will be adding Anantara to my Southeast Asia trip next year. There is a lot or culture to explore in the region.
