Hotel Londra Palace

Hotel Londra Palace

Hotel Londra Palace, Member of Relais & Châteaux, features no fewer than 100 windows overlooking the picturesque St. Mark's Basin, Salute Basilica and the island of Giudecca. Enjoying the view is a magical way to start your day in this most romantic of Italian cities. The Doge?s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs are just steps away. The hotel has counted many celebrities among its guests; perhaps the most famous was Tchaikovsky, who stayed in Room 106 while composing the first three movements of his Fourth Symphony. For your own inspiration, consider a spacious Junior Suite with a view of the lagoon and basin.

Hotel Tip

At the Londrabar Veranda, definitely try the best Bellini in town.

Would have liked to stay longer. We were only there one night. They did not let us keep our room until 1PM as our agent had requested and said they were too busy to provide us with that service?

Top natch hotel with top service and attention to details

This place is quite easy to get to and we got a view facing the watch, which we got to enjoy every morning and evening. The room is SUPER beautiful, I so love it and I told my husband we come back again, we need to stay there again and he agrees. Such lovely place.Don't underestimate this small place, ALL the staff are VERY attentive, we made restaurant requests beforehand and they made sure to call the restaurant and check to see which one have the particular dish that we were looking for, they did their homework and respond to email within 24 hours. Also - we made a few more requests too and they went miles to fulfill them, I am very impressed by how strict they follow instructions and being so attentive - and this is in Italy. Room is drop dead beautiful, such venetian decor you can feel it. We booked a bigger room and there is so much to enjoy. The breakfast is also very enjoyable. Everything is superb and 5 stars.

We had a lovely room at the Hotel Londra Palace. The location was central to all that we needed to do. We were only there one night but it was a delightful experience. The room was very nice we a nice view overlooking Venice and the main waterway. The restaurant was adequate and fortunately the weather allowed us to eat outside which made it very nice.

We were extremely satisfied with the Hotel Londra Palace! The room was spacious, beautiful and the staff was overly accommodating!! I would definitely stay there again and again! My only complaint is the scratchy sheets on the bed. For such a luxurious room, you would think the bedding would be a higher thread count.

Some good, some not so good

We arrived about 10 AM by water taxi from a cruise. No luggage service at the pier. We struggled with our bags to get to the front door before anyone came to help. Our room wasn't ready until 2 PM so they stored it for us. Our "Jr. Suite" was very small. A large dining table mad it impossible to get to the sofa. The bathroom was very small. The tub was so high it was hard to get in and out. No safety bars. No sheet, only a duvet. No lock in the room. We had to ask what the Virtuoso amenities were on the 2nd night since they didn't tell us. No upgrade rm available. The public women's restroom was on two different evenings not clean. Paper supplies nearly gone. Paper all over the floor. Very poor bar service. They served your drink and didn't show up again. Had to look for a server to sign your check. Complimentary breakfast was OK but never changed day after day. Coffee was never hot. Pros: The internet was very good. View was great. Rm. was quiet and clean. Makeup mirror a plus.

This is a true five-star the way they are supposed to be. Service, food, drinks, public areas are wonderful. All of which goes a long way in not minding that the rooms need some sprucing up.

Not the usual Virtuoso experience- no welcome champagne/fruit/chocolates. The hotel was completely inflexible about a late check out of only one hour past the official time. Concierge booked a 220 euro private boat tour that turned out to be a high level sales scheme for Murano glass. Location was nice.
