I am a busy mother and I was looking for a quiet place to travel to on my own. As a horse/spa/yoga enthusiast, Miraval certainly fit the bill, and was a perfect place to decompress for several days. The trail ride through the desert was spectacular, and the horse programs there are enlightening and so special. Most guests there were women, many traveling with a friend or two, and also many solo travelers like myself. I found everyone to be quite friendly. The no-gratuity rule took a lot of stress out of everything for me, as I wasn't forced to do mental math at every turn as I usually would at a spa resort. There are so many activities ranging from meditation to fitness to adventure courses and hiking; some afternoons I just sat and watched the birds from their bird ramada for an hour. Food was superb and I especially loved the smoothie bar. The bed was heavenly. I would go back in an instant. Already thinking of next year!

Heaven, Oasis, Santuary all of these words come to mind when describing the Miraval Resort. What a wonderful week my sister and I had. Literally everything was perfect. The setting, the staff, the classes, the treatments, the food, the service, the location. I could go on and on and on.....Such seemingly happy staff certainly made you feel welcomed all over the property. Loved, loved the no cell phones in public areas policy. How refreshing and relaxing. I tuned out and tuned into my life. One of the best weeks of my life. Felt all stress glide away.... on the massage table, by the pool, at mealtimes, in classes, in my lovely room with it's perfect little patio, walking around the grounds seeing birds and other critters. Truly Heaven, an Oasis, Paradise! Can't wait for next year!

I was looking for a sanctuary where I could be alone if I chose, and still indulge in spa and other activities. Miraval exceeded expectations, lots of peace and quiet. They really did live up to their self-promotion. The grounds were beautiful, the amenities such as the lap pool and food venues were available almost 24 hours, staff was friendly, food great, overall excellence. I did have one quite negative experience with an activity provider, but it was quickly resolved and refunded when I got home.
Can't wait to go back!

Miraval is not just a spa. It is better characterized as a wellness center that includes a spa. I loved that a lot of attention is spent on being mindful of what feels right for your body. The people that teach the various classes are always willing to push you to try new experiences but not push you to feel pain or discomfort. The people in the spa were absolutely lovely and extremely good at what they do. Highly recommend this resort if you need to get away and get back in touch with yourself. The setting is gorgeous! Who would have thought so of a desert resort?

First class, amazing experience. Try all of the mind and body classes, and try new experiences that are out of your comfort zone. The property and the staff are incredible, and everyone is there to make you happy. Don't be shy - if there is something you want for dinner, just ask. You are never limited by the menu. The bed is so comfortable, but we were too busy to spend enough time in the room. Plan your trip and then add an extra day so you can relax by the pool. Miraval is the best place for a girls' trip - we can't wait to go back.

I took a yoga class from the most amazing instructor! Her playlist alone on Spotify was worth the trip. Every time I play her songs I’m taking back to our amazing week. I had a Neuromuscular massage from Wendy that completely healed my sore spots I’ve been working on for months. I have lots of massages and this was the most amazing healing hour and a half of my life! Not only did Tom and I enjoy our bodies and time together we nourished ourselves with the most amazing food that changed so much of the way we eat now at home!

Miraval is a piece of paradise in the Tucson desert. The grounds, the rooms, the staff, the spa, the adventures, the experiences are all geared to make your visit the most relaxing or most adventuresome as you want. I have enjoyed the off property hikes into the Catalina mountains, the zip lining, and the rock climbing wall. I have taken the tours of the entire property, the on location farm and bee hives. I have enjoyed the calming of the spa, the bird sanctuaries, and the art that is everywhere on the property. I have pushed my thinking in learning new ideas and new holistic healing practices. I have pushed my physical body with the exercise classes that are non-stop all day, every day (if that is your thing). There is something for every one and every body type at Miraval. It is a must for everyone's bucket list.

Miraval Tucson is the perfect place to recharge and unwind. Their classes are varied and each class that I took was taught with professionalism and expertise. I felt rejuvenated and relaxed throughout my stay. A perfect balance. The desert landscape lends itself to serenity while the enthusiasm of the teachers revitalizes the body and mind. The service is excellent. My spa treatments were also varied and wonderful. Some were “fluffy” while others were true bodywork done by intuitive technicians. The amenities in the spa are top shelf.

This was my first time at Miraval and at a wellness spa. It was exactly the experience I wanted in a wellness spa. The place was clean and peaceful. My days were filled with exercise activities, meditation, classes that covered an array of topics including how to use my iPhone camera and good skin care techniques, and spa treatments that helped me relax. The food was delicious and gave me a chance to try gluten free and vegan options. What I really liked about the place was the awesome customer service from everyone who works there. They made everyone feel important. It was a great environment to meet people or just relax and read a book. The whole experience allowed me to focus on me and my well being. I recommend that everyone pamper themselves and get to Miraval.

However, they do not offer a full range of fitness classes at Miraval and many classes/lectures involve signing up and/or extra fees. I recommend Miraval highly if you want to relax in a beautiful place. I do not recommend Miraval if you are looking for tons of fitness classes.

I knew I would enjoy Miraval based on the recommendation from my advisor, but I wasn't expecting to so thoroughly love the adventure! My phone went on airplane mode almost immediately, and I leaned into unplugging, only checking in a couple of times a day. The wide-ranging activities available pushed me to try a variety of new things, including slow flow aerial yoga, a class involving non-verbal communication with horses, different forms of meditation, and consultation with a clairvoyant. My experiences with the wonderful equine specialist and the amazing horses have inspired me to take lessons at home. Incorporating some of the adventure at home makes it really feel like it lasts longer.
But really, when can I go back?

I’ve been to Miraval 4 prior times. It’s always been an impeccable experience. This time there were more struggles than usual with the guest services department. Usually they go above and beyond to make sure each guest feels valued - I think they are understaffed right now. The spa was amazing as per usual. Our group had a variety of services and all were excellent. I had Steve for 2 massages.. he’s the best! The food services team was also amazing! Drew led two classes for us - both excellent. The outdoor adventures team also (Kayla and Zaynah) great. Will go back for sure.

I was really impressed with Miraval Berkshires from start to finish. For one, the area is quant & beautiful and has a rich & interesting history. Miraval measures up to all that they claim & advertise to be (making the higher price tag well worth it). As a solo female traveler, I never once felt out of place or unsafe. I felt like I was right where I needed to be and it was refreshing to see all sorts of travelers from different walks of life. The employees live and breath the Miraval vision/philosophy as well which is so important and something I pay attention to. Employees and guests alike seem to be well taken care of. We noticed More fee based classes and note that the online booking tool is not very user friendly. That said, we’d go back in a heartbeat. Miraval Arizona is amazing. One of the best trips of my life. Paul Remy at the front office, Sheila Baker in the gift shop and Shawna K. in the spa for a pedicure, go above and beyond in every way. My favorite sessions at Miraval included Holographic Memory Resolution with Brent Baum, Elements of Healing with Rae Jessie and Dharma: Create a Life with Meaning and Purpose, led by Jess. Everything was truly outstanding though, I would take every class again. Be sure to plan some extra time to relax in bed with their amazing bedding (maybe even purchase some for home!) and quiet time near an outdoor fire.
Only negatives of the stay were that the young person at the check-in was quite rude and my personal opinion is that the food at Miraval Austin is much better than Arizona.
Overall, I would still give this vacation an 11/10 because the classes and environment are so outstanding.
