Wonderful hotel with a great location

My wife & I spent a night before a cruise, & our friends spent three nights. We all enjoyed our experience. Virtuoso's amenity package was outstanding with room upgrades to mountain-facing, club floor access, full breakfasts, & $100 food & beverage credits. Our dinner for four outdoors in their beautiful Thai restaurant, Anakena, was excellent, the rooms were large & comfortable, & the staff was pleasant & helpful. The hotel's location was perfect for our friends, who explored Santiago before we all left together for our cruise departing from Valparaiso.

    Beautiful hotel

The MO is a beautiful hotel. The rooms were spacious and modern. The pool area was gorgeous and felt like a secluded remote hideaway in the middle of a large city. Breakfast bar, room service and pool food were what you expected and worked well for us. Free mini-bar/non-alcoholic beverages were a nice add. The MO's Italian restaurant was not good -- food was bland. This was the only negative thing we experienced while staying at the MO for a total of 5 nights in Feb/March, 2023.

My husband and I were so impressed by the property and the staff of the Mandarin Oriental at Lucerne! All of the amenities were top notch! The property itself was a intricate blend of old and new ! We loved the dedication to history and yet the streamlined beauty of today was apparent in the mix. of course the view of Lake Lucerne and the Alps was magnificent!
