Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona

Very nice stay. Great location and top notch breakfasts. Our first room was too small for comfortable five day stay but they worked hard juggling rooms to find us nicer, larger room for reasonable upcharge of 150 euros. Very enjoyable stay!

Hotel suite was not configured in a comfortable manner. There was no privacy between bedroom, bathroom and setting room. Street noise was unreasonable. Staff were wonderful however.

This hotel is in an ideal place from which to explore Barcelona. The concierge desk did an excellent job of recommending wonderful restaurants and obtaining reservations for us.

We had booked the MO Barcelona through Ourisman to get the Fan Club amenities, and we could not have been happier. We had booked the least expensive room category available, and when we arrived (though not upgraded due to a big conference in town), we asked for a nice room with a bathtub, and they essentially gave us the best base room in the hotel. It was better than most suites I have booked...truly fantastic. As the room wasn't immediately ready, and it was Sunday, they let us stay in the restaurant and gave us complimentary brunch (well over 100 Euro value) while we waited. At all times the hotel staff were accommodating and truly friendly...we are going to return for sure

Hotel was great - service, location and food.

Good! The buffet breakfast is especially terrific. The room was decorated in a contemporary bohemian style - quite spacious and comfortable. It is located right on the main drag in the middle of everything, so that's a bit disconcerting. Once inside, it is an oasis.

The hotel is perfectly situated in Barcelona to enjoy all of the city’s best locations via walking. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

Staff was super friendly. Location was perfect for shopping and sightseeing. Only complaint was the spa. Not great for the spa therapists.

This hotel is just beautiful. As you walk-in you feel a peace and elegance in the heart of Barcelona. The rooms are spacious and serene, while the roof top bar is a nice retreat after touring all day. If and when I return to Barcelona, I’ll be returning to the Mandarin Oriental. It’s an oasis!

Fantastic stay. There is no hotel in Barcelona with a better hard product and location. Service was top notch although the advertised "butler service" was actually non-existent. However, the suite itself was spectacular and the concierge was able to quickly help for any requests.

The hotel is located right in the heart of Barcelona, and close to everything. the staff was top notch.

Mandarin Oriental Barcelona is a beautiful hotel! The interior design is impeccable - modern, sophisticated, and comfortable! Patricia Urquiola is Spanish designer and now I wish every hotel was designed by her. The service at MO is above and beyond. Highly recommend!

We only had a few days in Barcelona and had to plan the trip in only a day. The Mandarin was a perfect stay for my husband and I and our 3 year old. They were super accommodating to all of our requests and really went above and beyond to make our stay special. There is literally no where else I would stay the next time we are in Spain!

We personally did not love this hotel, but it was very nice and clean and good service but not our favorite hotel

We struggled with the light of the bedroom, dressing room, bathroom, shower. The service was perfect.

Attentive service, amazing breakfast, great concierge. Rooms are complete, however more simple and less luxurious feeling than other MOs and are starting to show their age.

The Mandarían was outstanding in both hotel room, service, and food. Would definitely stay here next trip!

The experience was a bit underwhelming. No upgrade or late check out unfortunately. Ruby (concierge) was a shining light.

Wonderful! The service by far some of the best I have experienced. The food at both The Michelin Star resturant & The Rooftop Bar was a true treat. The rooftop became a favorite spot to spend our evenings. The staff felt like our friends, so friendly and always willing help us. Staying at this property truly added to our visit to Barcelona & made for a memorable vacation.

The service was impeccable and the common spaces are beautiful. The hotel rooms need to be updated as they are a bit old and small

So this hotel is extremely expensive. Our 3 night stay was over $16K and I do not think it was worth that price! But - it is located very centrally in a really nice area near all the shopping and restaurants. The food was okay. The outdoor rooftop pool and bar / restaurant was the best part. The best views of Barcelona! The staff and service were wonderful. Could not be beat! We did not love the food that much, but that is probably because we don’t love Spanish food. Everyone spoke English. They did have a cool indoor pool that my kids liked. This is a bit of a dated hotel, but we did enjoy it. I think it’s more of a 4 star than a 5 star, but we still had a great time. We would stay there again but maybe in a less expensive room. (Note: we did have 2 connecting rooms and they were HUGE, which is probably why it was so expensive. It did have a great dining area, living area and an outdoor bath tub which the kids loved!).

This is a modern style of Hotel, easily the best in Barcelona. What sets it apart is the staff. If they have a weakness, I didn’t observe it. Housekeeping are like ghosts. They keep the facility and rooms impeccably clean but you never see them. Requests are met with a near immediate response.

We enjoyed our stay this Mandarin Hotel. The people who work there are super friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, service was excellent and the breakfast unbelievably good! The location was perfect for visiting Barcelona.

The staff at this hotel was unbelievable! Everyone knew my name and asked how I was feeling - after a trip to the hospital for which they even sent an interpreter. The concierge gave excellent recommendations in helping us plan out our visit.

This hotel is ideally located, is superior in its ambience and has a staff that is wonderfully accommodating. The food and beverage services were outstanding and they found time to acknowlege our anniversary in a very special way. It was our first time at this hotel, but will not be our last.

Sebastian and several other members of the Mandarin's concierge were always interested in helping and provides some fabulous sites to visit... and booked us time saving tickets!

The Madarin is comfortable, elegant and very well located. You can walk everywhere. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. The hotel is well designed. The Bankers Bar was a nice meeting place. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast in the morning. Loved staying at the Hotel and definitely would stay there again.
