Great ski trip

By: Kathy

We had a party of 8 skiing Beaver Creek and our accommodations at Villa Montane were wonderful. It was centrally located and we did not get in a car or shuttle the entire trip. Although it is listed as ski in, ski out we found that to be more difficult than walking across the street and up 3 escalators to the main lift. The ski butlers were prompt, courteous and had good equipment that fit for us. My only complaint is that when I went to pick up lift tickets we had 7 lift tickets under my name and I had to give info for each skier's individual lift ticket, which took 20-30 minutes while everyone waited at the lift. If I had known this I would have gotten to lift ticket office early.

We stayed at the 'Lodge at Vail' which is a nice looking hotel with a great gym, good food and good service. BE AWARE that not all of the rooms have AC or ample outlets due to the age of the building. We stayed in Vail for 4 nights in July and it was HOT; because of the high elevation it is very sunny and dry during the summer months. We were advised to drink a lot of water to avoid altitude sickness, but still had headaches for a few days. When we asked about the lack of AC in the room, the hotel staff quickly installed a free standing LG unit that was very loud and barely took the edge off the heat in the room. For the prices they charge, they should renovate and get some real AC installed. Also, no parking on site, you park a mile away. Also stayed at the Sheridan in Lakewood, 15 minutes outside Denver. Decent hotel, but the gym and pool were dated. The location is on a main road with plenty of restaurants in the area. The service was good at the hotel and the parking was free.

Alpine Adventures coordinated 4 transfers and a tour for us in Santiago. The drivers spoke excellent English, and were very passionate about the city! They were always on time, even for an early morning departure. Really great service! Would use them again in a second.

Very disappointed with this operator. Had a day ski package arranged and the lack of specific information as to where to go and what to pick up made this an unfortunate experience. The voucher did not have a specific address (only a P.O. Box), the name of the company where I should pick up my equipment and lift ticket is not posted anywhere at the business location. Trying to get in touch with Alpine Adventures before 9AM EST was impossible - no alternate phone # for after hours assistance. As a Virtuoso Preferred Partner/Vendor, the should be expected to do better. In fairness, they did issue a refund for the ski portion but the Alpine Adventure agent helping me has no decision making authority to issue a refund despite her agreeing to the miscommunications. She had to request approval for a refund. Again, for a Virtuoso company, they did not live up to the stringent Virtuoso standards the consumer can expect.

Working with Alpine Adventures was great....Alona was so helpful, especially when we were in Chamonix. We felt like we were being treated like rockstars! Alona was able to set up a variety of things for us (including introducing us to some friends who took us off piste skiing!) and recommend great restaurants...I would recommend her in a heartbeat!

Start to finish everything was great. House rental was really nice with a manager rep meeting us night of arrival to give us a tour of the house. All instructions and house amenities were in order. Then picking up the lift tickets yielded no issues. I would definitely recommend these guys!

We had a great experience at BlueSky Resort in Breckenridge! Our condo was clean and spacious, and we had everything we needed. The pool and three hot tubs were a highlight for the kids, and then views were great. Also a good location-close to downtown but still part way up the mountain. We had a great time!
