Great ski trip

We had a party of 8 skiing Beaver Creek and our accommodations at Villa Montane were wonderful. It was centrally located and we did not get in a car or shuttle the entire trip. Although it is listed as ski in, ski out we found that to be more difficult than walking across the street and up 3 escalators to the main lift. The ski butlers were prompt, courteous and had good equipment that fit for us. My only complaint is that when I went to pick up lift tickets we had 7 lift tickets under my name and I had to give info for each skier's individual lift ticket, which took 20-30 minutes while everyone waited at the lift. If I had known this I would have gotten to lift ticket office early.

We stayed at the 'Lodge at Vail' which is a nice looking hotel with a great gym, good food and good service. BE AWARE that not all of the rooms have AC or ample outlets due to the age of the building. We stayed in Vail for 4 nights in July and it was HOT; because of the high elevation it is very sunny and dry during the summer months. We were advised to drink a lot of water to avoid altitude sickness, but still had headaches for a few days. When we asked about the lack of AC in the room, the hotel staff quickly installed a free standing LG unit that was very loud and barely took the edge off the heat in the room. For the prices they charge, they should renovate and get some real AC installed. Also, no parking on site, you park a mile away. Also stayed at the Sheridan in Lakewood, 15 minutes outside Denver. Decent hotel, but the gym and pool were dated. The location is on a main road with plenty of restaurants in the area. The service was good at the hotel and the parking was free.

Alpine Adventures coordinated 4 transfers and a tour for us in Santiago. The drivers spoke excellent English, and were very passionate about the city! They were always on time, even for an early morning departure. Really great service! Would use them again in a second.
