Abercrombie & Kent is committed to improving lives and livelihoods in the communities where our guests travel. Our dedicated Abercrombie & Kent Philanthropy team actively supports and coordinates activities that promote sustainable tourism and ensure that local communities continue to benefit from their natural and cultural heritage.
In Southeast Asia, A&K guests can give back through our Cambodia Clean Water Project. Over 20,000 villagers now have access to a clean source of water thanks to this life-changing project which began in 2008. In a country where safe, clean, fresh water is a scarcity, one well goes a long way to improving the livelihood of people living in the poorest provincial areas and helps reduce exposure to diseases from contaminated water sources. Guests can pre-purchase a well prior to their trip and visit the beneficiary family during their travels to see the real impact their contribution has made.
Other A&K Philanthropy projects in Southeast Asia include Safe Water for Schools in Vietnam, Refill Not Landfill in Bangkok and education and community development in Myanmar.
