Sustainability
Our Commitment
Aurora Expeditions has been dedicated to responsible travel since its inception. As a Certified B Corporation™, we proudly stand among a community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact. Across all of our experiences, we are committed to inspiring positive change.
Path to Net Zero
We are proud to be a carbon-neutral business, offsetting 100% of our greenhouse gas emissions. We are committed to our emissions reduction plan, which is in line with science-based targets.
Protecting and Preserving Ecosystems
We recognise our responsibility to inspire, educate and advocate for the protection and preservation of the places we visit. We were one of the first members of AECO and IAATO, and participate in clean-ups globally, bringing attention to the importance of keeping our oceans and lands clean.
Inspiring Ambassadors Through Science and Education
Travelling with and learning from our onboard experts and ambassadors provides countless opportunities to connect deeply with the incredible places we visit. Passengers can also contribute to meaningful action by participating in real scientific research via our Citizen Science Program.
Community Engagement and Shared Value
We welcome Inuit community members on board select voyages to Greenland and the Northwest Passage, and we celebrate the vibrant flavours of our destinations by serving meals with ingredients sourced from local producers dedicated to ethical farming practices.
