This was an unbelievable experience. The staff were very accommodating and even picked us up in the neighboring town when the train was on strike. It was very well organized and fun. Everyone was very friendly and the venues were first class.

Unforgettable biking and wine tour in Bordeaux

By: leonora

Reviewed on: 21 Jun 2024

We couldn't be more pleased with our first ever biking tour! Everything about the tour was amazing: the small group, flexible and thoughtful itinerary, great scenery, accommodations, food and wine selections. Our guides, John and Adam, really made this a fun and pleasurable experience. Their attention to details was first rate; we only had to follow John while cycling and hopped in the van (which was often for one of us) when needed. Both of them are knowledgeable about wine and the history of the region. Last but not least, they’re fun to be around and would make great travel companions in any event. We look forward to doing another tour with DuVine, and hopefully get John and Adam to be our guides again!

Very nice. The two leaders were very good, fun and went the extra mile to make the trip memorable. The trip itself in Burgundy was also very memorable. Hotels all top notch.

    Sustainability

    Our Commitment

DuVine believes that bike travel should leave little behind, and is committed to making our tours 100% carbon neutral beginning in 2022. DuVine is partnering with sustainability company South Pole to offset our greenhouse gas emissions by supporting third-party carbon reduction projects around the world.

Although bike travel is already a lower-impact alternative to other modes of group travel, we continuously seek ways to lessen our footprint by reducing waste and reconsidering the materials we use on our tours. Sustainable solutions across our operations include shipping gear in compostable mailers, returning your pedals in cloth bags, and paring down our use of disposable containers. We’ve upgraded our complimentary water bottles to a biodegradable version made from BPA-free plastic. Traditional plastic bottles take up to 1,000 years to decompose; ours break down in three months to five years.

Furthermore, DuVine operates with a social impact philosophy that brings tourism income into small communities and lesser known regions. With a maximum of 14 passengers, our bike tours reach and stimulate local economies that can't accommodate larger groups. Our guests visit independent artisans and dine at family owned restaurants. DuVine strives to invest the majority of our tour costs in local businesses, and take pride in sharing these local treasures with our travelers.
