Our staff of globetrotters come from all corners of the world, and have explored every nook and cranny of Central America & Colombia. Travel is our passion and our job, and we evaluate every hotel and tour with this two-fold approach. Namu took care of our airport and between-stays transport as well as our rental car and even changing that rental. Their drivers were great, especially Luis Carlos who gave us his insights into the local cultures as well as the sights. Everything went smoothly; they were always on time. Vehicles were comfortable and clean, and the operators were great on the phone.

We had multiple issues with regard to communication related to logistics. I was most disappointed in this company's organizational awareness which led to consistently being late for planned event pick-ups. Ultimately, we missed one of the most important tours we booked due to their lack of organization and ineffective communication.

We seemed to have a great experience with Namu Travel. We did not really have any direct contact with them, but our entire trip was basically seamless. We only had one hiccup during our entire trip. There was a timing discrepancy between activities and we had two wait 2 hours, unplanned. The communication for the delay was poor. However, once we were picked up, the activity leader was super apologetic and could not have been nicer. He provided complimentary pictures of our river rafting adventure and then there was a bag of goodies in our hotel room when we returned - t-shirts and hats and an UNO game for the entire family. Issues happen, and they went above and beyond to apologize. You can't get too upset being on an unforgettable trip in Costa Rica.

Thanks Namu for arranging alternate transportation to Placencia after JetBlue flight was delayed 6 hours into Belize City. JetBlue might be a mess, but Namu made it all better.

Namu travel was selected as the agency to arrange the Colombia itinerary. They were great from start to finish. Reworking the package to accommodate travel dates and experiences. They were extremely attentive in country on WhatsApp, and also came back right away with answers that helped our experience. Definitely would consider them again when planning Central or South American travel destinations.

For the most part, everything that Namu helped plan went extremely well. The drivers were great and very attentive. On the day of one of our excursions, there was some miscommunication and we went to a completely different island than we were planning on seeing. All in all, it was a wonderful trip. Thank you.

It was our first visit to Costa Rica and first family trip outside the country, and Namu Travel helped us make final plans, as well as updates while on our trip. Additionally, they were helpful in finding for us a local doctor for our daughter to see who wasn’t feeling well halfway thru our trip. Very responsive and professional staff, would definitely recommend them to anyone traveling to Costa Rica!

We loved using Namu Travel, as they made everything super seamless. What could have been very disjointed – coordinating and paying for various surf lessons, board rentals, zip lining, etc, – was all simplified onto our hotel bill. A fabulous experience overall.

Our Commitment
In 2014, we started our own non-profit, Tacos4Ticos.org, which translates to "soccer shoes for Costa Ricans". We collect and distribute used soccer gear to underprivileged youth leagues and schools throughout Costa Rica. We also began a partnership 3 years ago with a San Francisco based non-profit, Give a Day Global. Their mission is to "empower travelers to make a difference, to support communities creating change, and to connect people as global citizens, one day at a time." Working with co-founder (and Brownell Travel Advisor) Courtney Regan, we establish volunteer opportunities for travelers to Costa Rica and Panama. Our "voluntourism" experiences range from helping local schools to reforestation projects. We create many of these experiences independently, but also partner with sustainability-minded partners in the region. Sustainable travel is a growing part of our corporate culture. Fortunately, it is also of growing interest to our clientele.
