Our tour was excellent. The itinerary and tour guides were all top notch. My compliant is with how little compensation was offered when our planned tour date was cancelled, and we had to make changes to our flights, hotels, tours, etc that we had planned. In spite of the large difference(increase) in price of our flights, we were only offered $200 pp off set compensation, and I'm still waiting for that refund over 2 months later. Not a good look, Insight. I've written to customer relations, and have not heard back. It's a poor showing by Insight, when we could have easily been given credit to use on the tour and not still be wasting my time chasing after my refund!!

Luxury Gold Italy Trip

I would highly recommend this trip to Italy, although I have no basis of comparison since this was my first trip of this type.
I selected this particular trip because the hotels were supposed to be 5 star hotels. The hotels we stayed in were very clean and the beds were comfortable, but they were not always in the best location and the rooms were typically small. People on the trip were a disappointed with the hotels selected. Otherwise, the tour did not disappoint.
My husband and I really liked the fact that the group size was small. Only 18 people were in our group. This was a really great number. Our concierge, Karen, was easy to understand and took care of everything. The private bus was really luxurious and big and extremely clean. The driver was great and we were able to view the magnificent landscapes of Italy. We went on so many tours and each each tour was given by a local expert. This tour is very active. There is a lot of walking, boat rides, excursions.

Our tour director was so knowledgeable. There were so many special treats everywhere we went. The hotels were clean and comfortable. The meals were a wonderful surprise at every stop. The driver was so skilled and our coach was very clean. The itinerary gave us a very broad view of Italy. The tour gave us history, food and musical experiences.

Insight was very good. The trip was well planned and we were able to see the most important sights. The coach, the driver and the tour guides were all great.
Our original tour guide had a medical emergency at the end of our first day. Insight made certain that we had information and got us a replacement guide before we began the next day's journey. we never felt like we had been forgotten

Insight offers amenities other companies may omit: a day on the Orkney Islands, an afternoon tea at lunchtime. The many included dinners were appreciated in the smaller towns with fewer restaurants. Menu choices were varied and all meals were tasty, offering a good example of Scottish cuisine. All meals offered sufficient quantity.

Country Roads for the 3rd time

Country Roads of Switzerland was our 3rd "country roads" tour with Insight. It was terrific. The pace was good and we enjoyed all of the stops along the way. I really appreciate that Insight provides info about the optional tours in advance and then allows tour participants to choose or not choose early in the tour without any hard sell. Our tour leader was Alex Tkachuk and he was extraordinary.

We had the best time on our tour of Italy. It was definitely the best of Italy! We saw many cool places and learned a lot. We had so much fun! Italy is beautiful and we definitely want to go back!!
Our tour guide, Marina Benkovic, made our tour even better. Everything went smoothly and her great personality made the tour even more fun! We had a really great group on our tour. Daniella, the bus driver kept us safe and on time to where we had to go. If you book this tour you won’t be disappointed!!!

The driver and tour guides were fantastic! The hotels were very nice but needed some maintenance. The provided and optional food could have also been better but not a deal breaker. We sourced much better food on our own,

We were advised to use Insight as our tour company to visit Italy. We chose the small group tour and so glad we did! Our Tour Director, Chris, was exceptionally organized and communicative. We NEVER didn’t know exactly what to expect! he ALWAYS checked in on those of us with special dietary needs at dinners to ensure we were taken care of. The tour we went on was an aggressive, fast paced tour. We walked over 75 miles and the group of us all got along well. The bus was very comfortable and the sites we toured were fabulous! I loved going off the grid and seeing things like the mozzarella farm, balsamic store, Parmesan factory. Our small group ended up being 24 of us and due to the popularity of this tour, they had a second group of 24 “shadowing” our group tour …the two tour directors were able to coordinate to not have us “doubled up” on the daily tours and the other group took a separate bus. I appreciated this since we paid extra for the small group ambiance.

My first trip "Dalmatian Elegance" a 7 day cruise through the Croatian Islands was booked through Insight Vacations but in reality was NOT s Insight tour. They simply contacted Katalina Lines, and all the staff including the tour director were Katalina contracted staff. Had I known this I could of booked the cruise directly through Katalina Lines and saved myself a ton of money. So this was nothing but a cash grab by Insight Vacations. Insight should have been more transparent and provided better information. This leave me with a very bad taste in my mouth about Insight.

We enjoyed the easy pace of Insight Travel’s tour of Italy. The schedule allowed us to do all the included tours and there was also time to add the optional events to the schedule also.
Our tour guide Debra DeAngelo was excellent. She was very knowledgeable of the art history that we saw in each city we visited. She was very informative and gave us as much information as she could. She was also very helpful whenever people needed her assistance. She kept our attention throughout the tour.

Our Insight Vacations Travel Director Maria Dias was an incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and engaging guide. She made our trip to Spain memorable and fun and encouraged all of us to enjoy each other as well. I always felt like we were in good hands and was confident she would take excellent care of us.
Paulos, our coach driver, was a skillful driver dedicated to getting us to our destinations comfortably and safely. He also kept our belongings safe on board the bus. The Insight umbrellas were a nice touch.
The sites were amazing. Insight provided skip-the-line tickets. Local guides were very knowledgeable and gracious and proud to show off their cities.
Need to be prepared for long coach rides. Our small group of 23 was fabulous, very friendly, cohesive group.
Everything was wonderful, I just wish the hotels were closer to city center so that we could walk to our hotel to main attractions. Hotel in Seville was well situated. Valencia hotel was beautiful, great roof top bar.

We had a great travel trip with Insight Vacations. Although our initial trip was cancelled we were able to find a new one that worked with the same dates. They worked with our agent to work through some technical issues on their side. Hopefully this will lead to a better travel platform going forward. We hope to travel with Insight again soon.

It was a nice tour. It wasn’t my favorite, but it was nice. There were definitely cities that I felt could’ve been left off the tour and other cities that could’ve been explored more or at all. I would definitely have loved to seen Toledo and Barcelona and I think we could’ve left Casablanca and Rabat out of Morocco. Our tour guide was very nice and was very sweet to give me a birthday gift on my birthday.

It was an amazing tour of Spain and Portugal brought to life by an outstanding Tour Director Patrick Davis. Patrick was extremely organized, knowledgeable and a great communicator always preparing the group for what lay ahead for the day, with witty stories , photos and fun videos of adventures in Spain. Every day of the tour Patrick went above and beyond from getting to know our names within a day, buying the tour group delicacies from the different regions visited, going around the group ensuring we all had sunscreen, to starting out our travels a few minutes ahead of the other coaches so we would be the first to arrive. The list goes of on and on but in summary Patrick made the trip the best it could be because of his passion for travel, zest for life, great sense of humor and caring nature. Thank you Patrick for an amazing trip.

We had a wonderful trip in Portugal on this land tour. I highly recommend it for seeing the different regions of the country riding in the new Mercedes buses/coaches that they lease (restroom included). Portugal has an amazing history and Insights provided highly educated guides who are Certified Tour Guides which is a certification that most tour guides in Europe do not have. As this is a challenging certification process, the guides are very proud of this classification, Insights uses the best!

Our 15 day trip to Spain and Portugal exceeded our expectations. We were very pleased with the itinerary and the hotels.
Marcus de Carvalho, our travel director was very knowledgeable about Spain and Portugal, organized, kind and humorous. He kept us on track and was fun to be around.

We had a pleasant trip and enjoyed Ireland!
The motorcoach was very comfortable and allowed extra room for larger passengers to feel at ease sitting with each other. Paddy was an excellent driver and a sweetheart.
The trip was very fast paced and did not allow much time to relax. There is downtime, but if you do the extra excursions, your time will be very filled.
Best highlights for me was Killarney, Blarney Castle and the Ring of Kerry. The Jaunty ride, the National Park (Beautiful & Peaceful) and the Plaza Hotel in Killarney were great. Wandering the gardens of Blarney Castle was beautiful and the Ring of Kerry with its ocean and mountain views was amazing.
One of my favorite excursions was the Connemara Sheep Herding demo. This was fantastic! So worth doing.
Only two things were a downside to me: The Irish Breakfast being the same everyday and the Farm to Fork dinner. The dinner was too much of a lecture on eating and food habits. Not needed on vacation.

We enjoyed the bus tour of Italy. Our tour guide was excellent. Our guide, Shona, shared so much history and knowledge about Italy and the sites we experienced. The charter bus was great. Only one of the hotels of the many was below my expectations. We saw so much within a short time.

Bus was fine. Accommodations were very good. Feel that our tour guide could have provided a lot more information and color to the trip. We missed a tour of York's cathedral and of Ludlow's castle. I think our tour guide could have foreseen these problems and had some contingency arrangements which would have made us feel like we hadn't lost two half-days.

Exploring Turkeyi’s amazing history and landscape

Insight Tour Turkeyi
We were extremely lucky with a delightful group of fellow travellers. During our tour we travelled huge distances and saw some amazing sights. The history part of our tour is what attracted us to this tour. Turkeyi is a large country and the variety of landscapes were truly amazing.
Our tour leader Gonul was fantastic, her knowledge of Turkeyi’s history and her pride in her country was inspiring. We learnt so much about ancient but also modern Turkeyi. You are extremely lucky if Gonul is your tour leader.
Our driver kept us safe and was a very skilled driver.
We would have liked a little more time to explore on our own but that would have meant a few more days on tour.
Altogether a wonderful adventure.

I've traveled with Insight before but this was a Luxury Gold tour and was so pleased with my choice for this tour. Each hotel was so impressive- elegant surroundings, comfortable and quiet rooms, access to local attractions, wonderful breakfast bufffets, etc. Our guide Larae and bus driver Christophe were a great pair. Larae had knowledge about the landmarks, natural attractions and cultural customs. She also had to deal with unusual problems and handled it all with a smile on her face. Very professional. Christophe handled the mountain roads with great skill. He also has a great sense of humor. Everything was just a step up from Insight.
We had a wonderful group- no problems like I've experienced on other tours. I will choose Luxury Gold or Insight again.

He is very organized, prepared us well for each of our travel experiences and gave us many hints, tidbits and information to make our experiences really memorable. This was for planned excursions, our free time and additional travel excursions. Another factor was that he really endeavored to make all of us travelers feel like "family". Within just a few days, it seemed as though we were friends for years. He did not forget any detail with any of our experiences. I have traveled with various tour companies and various tour directors..........he was clearly the best.
I am disappointed that he concentrates on Spain only. It would be fabulous to travel with him elsewhere in the world!

Insight did a fantastic job. We loved our tour guide, Charles. He was a wealth of information and sure knows his history! Accommodations were beautiful, the itinerary was just the right pace, Weather made it necessary to make a few last minute changes and we were just as happy with plan B. Will definitely recommend insight to friends

I had never been on a bus tour and wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The tour schedule was fast paced but there were always opportunities for breaks and comfort stops. The hotels, as well as the bus, were very nice, clean and comfortable. The restaurants chosen for group dinners were very good and accommodating to everyone’s needs. The excursions were very enjoyable and enlightening. We were able to see sights we might not otherwise be able to due to the Insight Vacations expertise.
The real benefit in my mind was the tour director, who is extremely knowledgeable and professional and shared history with us and educated us wherever we went. He was calm and friendly and was always checking in with members of the group to ensure they were having a good experience. I was amazed at his patience and his attention to detail.
I would definitely choose an Insight Vacations trip again.

We had a blast! The trip was action-packed. Many different personalities but Cem was excellent at keeping the whole group engaged and happy!
I’d definitely use insights vacation inc again. I give them 11 stars out of ten!

We just completed our second tour with Insight Vacation & both tours met our expectations in every aspect. Tour guides are very knowledgeable & professionals about the various regions visited. Our Italy trip with Insight Vacations was awesome! There was great communication with them even before the trip began. Our travel coordinator, Philp Orna, was amazing! He took care of our group of 34 at all times. Philip was very knowledgeable about Italy. Insight also had expert guides at every city and site we visited. Even when our itinerary changed, Philip coordinated everything to make it work. Traveling in the coach to sites and to the different hotels went well. Insight Vacations had access to places where only the locals went. Every day was an amazing adventure. We especially liked the free time to explore. We would definitely use Insight again and highly recommend it to travel goers.

The Tour Concierge and Coach driver were stupendous. They couldn't have done more to help us enjoy our trip. Keith and Blair were the best. Would want them again if ever travel to Canada again.

They were great our driver and tour guide were awesome! Meals and accommodations were top notch! Food was awesome! Plenty of food! The arks were beautiful loved the Navajo reservation and the optional float raft ride on the Colorado River ! The boat cruise through Antelope Canyon was great!

Wonderful tour , saw so many great sights . Trip of s lifetime ! Bus was amazingly comfortable. Your guide Nathalie could not have been better. She was informative and also funny ! She made the tour great . Also bus driver , Arturo was an excellent driver .

Our tour director, Erin, was the best we have ever encountered. Loved the mix of nationalities among the seasoned travelers in our group. Wish the tour had been two days longer. Recommend highly and will definitely travel again with Insight Vacations.

The trip was well organized, with comfortable coaches, and experienced local experts at every new location. Our tour director, Annalise, assisted by Fabio, was just wonderful. Knowledgeable, capable, and always ready to help, they took care of all the details that made for an enjoyable time.

The coach driver Sean was excellent and we couldn’t imagine how he maneuvered that bus throughout Ireland!! Cudoos to having him on your team!!
The itinerary was well laid out and provided many options to add to the vacation. The stay at Ashford Castle was beyond our wildest dreams and the highlight of our trip!

All in all, a good trip.
*The one place Insight let me down was on followup when British Air canceled a flight. I was left pretty much on my own.
*Everyone on the River Tosca crew was very accommodating and the boat itself quite comfortable.
*All of the Insight guides and drivers were also accommodating. In particular, Mohamed, who was with us on the boat, was not only very helpful but had a tremendous store of knowledge which he was very good at imparting.
*The hotel choices were good, although the original brochure said there would be a pyramid view at the Mena House and there wasn't, nor would they provide a room that had one.
The Old Cataract Hotel (where I had a suite in the orioginal part) was among the nicest hotels I've ever visited. Very high marks.
As an old hotel fan I would have appreciated a chance to visit (tea? a meal?) the Winter Palace in Luxor.
*Rethink the side trip to Alexandria.
