Katherine was amazing to work with in preparation for our stay at Primland. She answered every email in a timely manner and explained all the benefits of booking our stay with Brownell. I couldn't have asked for a more thorough and outstanding person to work with.
I would highly recommend Katherine to anyone for their travel needs.

The location was gorgeous. The outdoor activities were perfect for us. We stayed at the Lodge, which was really nice but not over-the-top. It had a rich feel to it, but it was not opulent. The staff there were wonderful. They did everything possible to make sure you felt like the only guest there.

We truly enjoyed Primland. The resort is a hidden treasure nestled away in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s very remote but that enhances its appeal. The mountain golf course is lovely and one of the most challenging we’ve ever played. Everyone on the staff is welcoming and helpful. We're grateful to Sigrid Braeckeveldt and Virtuoso for the special amenities: complimentary upgrade when available, breakfast daily, and a $100 resort credit. Our only wish is that the resort had more dining choices over the course of our stay.

Primland.....an amazing place of relaxation and beauty. We had never heard of this place and the room we had was outstanding!! They were so friendly throughout the resort and took care of everything promptly and accurately. The meal in their restaurant was the best I have had in a decade or more. It was a perfect place to get away and relax and leave some of the craziness of 2020 behind. Would love to visit again and try the golf course! MTB and horseback riding were awesome!

This was our first time to Primland and we chose this property because it is within driving distance of our home and is a 5-start property in the Blue Ridge Mountains. (Our 3-week Tahiti vacation was scuttled because of Covid and we aren't ready to board a plane just yet - so this was a perfect getaway.)
We stayed in the Dan River Suite of the Pinnacle Cottages and it was fantastic. These cottages have terrific views of the mountains, are beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and incredibly spacious. The 250 sq. ft. deck was so nice and proved very useful our last full day as it rained continuously and we were able to sit comfortably on the deck watching the clouds and fog move across the mountains.
The resort staff did not disappoint. For a 5-star property at these prices, you expect a lot and they deliver. They were also very good with Covid precautions. The outdoor activities are plentiful and their outdoor staff consists of local experts, which was quite a treat!

Loved this gem hidden in the beautiful VA mountains. Really quaint, but also classy. Our room was perfect. Really comfortable bed, nice linens, great bathroom. The in-room dining was fast and the food was good. Overall service at resort was great. From Guest Services to all the restaurant staff and spa, every interaction was a positive one. The hikes are great, don’t miss the observatory, and if you’re not a golfer, you can still get up early and they’ll let you take a golf cart out to see the course and beautiful views. Will definitely put this on our calendar for a return trip.

We enjoyed fly fishing in the property's rivers, spending time enjoying the mountain views at the Lodge, and going for hikes around the property. It is a remote destination, but getting away into the woods was priceless.

Primland is absolutely amazing and beautiful. It's set atop the Blue Ridge Mountains on 12,000 acres. Everywhere you go has amazing views and the restaurants have delicious menus. Our private tree house had all the amenities of a luxury hotel room. The guests were all so friendly and we got to meet many of them. We loved our stay there.

Our stay was fine. Everyone had a wonderfull time.
But this resort is in its infancy and has to grow up.
There is nothin the rooms in printer material, like
simple things like phone numbers for different departments
etc. The necessity to be shuttled everywhere. Night
turndown service was terrible. Food service was poor.
We were told that if we ordered off the menu we
would have to break into t45 minutes two tables 45
minutes apart. This is a unique property that needs
a strong seasoned GM .
